I Love the spotlight. I love everyone has to watch the Cowboys. Especially when we win, it's sweet for everyone to have to watch it.......Here's the buttttttttttt, It's gonna be a long Sunday and it seems like it's been forever since we played. I'll take it, I think it's gonna help our health tremendously, it was almost like an extra bye. I just hate having to wait all Saturday, Sunday, and I'm pretty useless all day Monday.

ANYWAYS, it's just a slow day complaint.

GO COWBOYS!!!!

I already knew what you were going to say when I clicked on this . Sadly I miss the Cowboys on Sunday also 2 weeks in a row.

BUT (insert photo of Butt here)

Monday Night all will be forgiven :)

For me it sucks because I'll be stuck at work for nearly the entire game.

It is an extra bye. We'll get everybody back it seems for this one. I've got a good feeling about this one too. Should be there for the taking. Go Cowboys!

"Well get everybody back it seems for this one." .........until Austin pulls up on the 1st targeted ball his way OUCH!

MNF used to be an event and feel like an event. The bozos they have now don't come remotely close to Meredith and Cosell.

so true. The fake smiles...you know they hate each other lol...... I want to kill them both. serious.

As much as I love the short week prior to Thanksgiving, I hate the long week after, and to have to wait an extra day, and go back to work before the game, just makes it that much worse this week.

I stopped liking MNF the day it got switched.

Don't get me wrong- I love football whatever day of the week it's being played, BUTTTTTT

The tradition of MNF lost all of it's luster, if you ask me.

It started losing its luster a few years before moving to ESPN. In part, it was that loss of luster that prompted the move to ESPN. SNF became the new MNF with the favorable match ups and became the showcase game of the week for the NFL.

Very true.
I started losing MNF when they began hiring goofs like Dennis Miller to call the games.

Before the move to ESPN, I didn't like Dan Dierdorf and I felt they hung on to Frank Gifford way too long. He was terrible those last several seasons.

No argument here. Your thoughts are like echoes of my thoughts when I watched.

Although I was never a fan of Gifford. I can't give a good reason why- it was completely irrational. I just didn't like him, but I still held Monday Night Football on it's pedestal for probably longer than it deserved.

I also wasn't a fan of Gifford ever. He just got much worse as time went on.

This is an example of the NFL damaging it's brand by being too cute by half. The prestige of MNF disappeared when they moved it to ESPN. Nobody gets excited when their team is on MNF. ESPN is outright terrible. They combat TNF for the weakest, lamest presentation of football. I'd rather watch Hofstra.

Take a cue from the diamond cartel - flooding the market weakens value.

That does stink. Thank Gawd I work at home...

I can keep you posted with updates...

Used to we would watch just to see the intro. Hey, it was cool back then.

I used to love it when Alex Karas would call Howard Cosell "Univac". The Cowboys, Tony Dorsett in particular, humiliated Cosell the worst. He had just been saying how "the Cowboys think they can just turn it on anytime they want to". About the time that left his mouth, Tony D broke this one off for him

Best Monday Night Football play ever!

The Cowboys lost the game anyway, but at least they shut Cosell up, for a little while.
