I love MNF, but its gonna be a long Sunday

Too late for me to watch these evening games. They don't end until almost 1am in NY.

I have to be up early for work. Not worth it.

It feels like the cowboys haven't played in forever. 2 weeks after the saints game we play a Sunday night game and a Thursday game, then we have to wait almost another 2 weeks for a Monday night game.

I will be glad when we get out of Chicago Monday with a Win.

Right, but after Monday night, only 6 days to another game. That's the plus side for Monday night games for fans, but not for the team.

Well, the good part is knowing we can watch ball all day tomorrow and our interest isn't over, hasn't even started yet. Monday games seem to make the following week go by fast to me because the next game is right around the corner.

All in all, I don't like our bye weeks being in November due to the automatic 10-day gap for Thanksgiving. Seems we haven't played much these past 5 weeks.

I Love the spotlight. I love everyone has to watch the Cowboys. Especially when we win, it's sweet for everyone to have to watch it.......Here's the buttttttttttt, It's gonna be a long Sunday and it seems like it's been forever since we played. I'll take it, I think it's gonna help our health tremendously, it was almost like an extra bye. I just hate having to wait all Saturday, Sunday, and I'm pretty useless all day Monday.

ANYWAYS, it's just a slow day complaint.

GO COWBOYS!!!!

Tough when you gotta get up early on Tuesday morning when you were up till midnight the night before.
Wish they would have stuck to the 8:00 pm start time :(

I started losing MNF when they began hiring goofs like Dennis Miller to call the games.
A combination of terrible announcers and awful matchups produced unwatchable games. The only reason a few people still watched? Because it was football.

Used to we would watch just to see the intro.

I used to love it when Alex Karas would call Howard Cosell "Univac". The Cowboys, Tony Dorsett in particular, humiliated Cosell the worst. He had just been saying how "the Cowboys think they can just turn it on anytime they want to". About the time that left his mouth, Tony D broke this one off for him

Best Monday Night Football play ever!

The Cowboys lost the game anyway, but at least they shut Cosell up, for a little while.

Looks like good Omen! Again it's MNF and against the bears ! Go Dallas Cowboys

If I recall correctly, that was a Sunday game until the Metrodome roof caved in. Then they changed it to Monday night. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I like MNF better now that I don't have to hear Hank Williams Jr sing that damn intro anymore. I like the old MNF theme that's the sound that gets me ready for some football.

evening games? this is it. Just one game, take your day off Tuesday, you know that throat has been bothering you....COUGH

Hopefully this MNF game has a much better outcome than last year against the Bears!

I think Sunday night football is the best on T.V can't do it better than Al and Chris.

Different venue, but I like Phil Simms broadcasts. At least he is objective on NFL today and during his in game stints. He is very realistic about what is going
on, and knows he value to a QB of having a great defense to keep you in, or affect the outcome of a game.

my only concern with the game being Monday night is that I have to fly back home to NE Penna on Monday evening and with all of the ice storms, it could be problematic...if everything is on time, I will be home with plenty of time to spare...but, if flights get cancelled, I could get stuck

You are correct that the roof collapsed, but wrong about the game being changed to MNF. It was always scheduled for MNF.

I stopped liking MNF the day it got switched.

Don't get me wrong- I love football whatever day of the week it's being played, BUTTTTTT

The tradition of MNF lost all of it's luster, if you ask me.

I agree. I'm really not excited about seeing the games anymore. I'll watch when I get in, but I'm just not compelled to watch them like I used to. MNF is no longer special.
