Garrett just said Romo checked out of a run on the INT

Way to be leader... The buck stops.... Over there!!

It would never have come close to a one score game if he stayed with the run. Even like 4-5 more rushes would have cut enough time off clock to where a comeback was impossible for the Packers even if they scored a TD on every possession.

I think this one is all Tony. I really find it hard to believe that an NFL coach protecting a 23 point lead forgets the run game as blatantly as what happened today. It's just unfathomable. Absolutely unfathomable.

What team have you been watching the last few years?

Dungy just said the coverage dictated that Beasley was to sit down on the route...which he did....

True but it's just very un-Garrett like. He's affraid he's about to lose his job.

Losing his job is just part of the "process", and a given. He should be more worried about ever working in this league again in anything more than a QB coach capacity, if that! The guy is the worst head coach I have ever seen. Period!

Garrett said a run play was called and tony changed it to a pass - then threw the INT - no wonder Murray was so pissed.

I wonder if he changed the other 15 passing plays that should have been running plays?

Doubt it. We should have never been in that position.

Romo did the same thing in the first half in goal to go situation that led to a FG. Murray should be ticked that when his number is called, it gets changed far too often.

If Romo called an audible, he deserves all the criticism he's going to get.

Did Romo also call passing plays the rest of the second half instead of running it which was working? I doubt it.

Again though, the whole team stinks. Arguing about who is worse seems pointless.

If Garrett had managed the game better and utilized Murray their would not have been any issue with an audible. No way Garrett gets off the hook for this one. No chance. What a ******.

A coach never throws a player under the bus. period.

It's classless and reeks of pointing the finger. Good thing he isn't a ship capt. He'd probably trample some kids trying to get to the rafts.

Did he audible all the pass plays to end the first half through the end of the game as well? Our play caller abandoned the run after we had great success to start the game, for whatever reason he wanted to change that is beyond my comprehension. Why fix something that isn't broken? I'm sorry, but we mainly lost this game due to abandoning the run which is the play caller's fault, which we all know who that is.

It's ok, you'll be gone soon enough.

desperation move. He coached and managed the game terribly so throw him under the bus on our final possession to keep all the attention from your performance all game including inexplicably abandoning a RB who averaged 7.7 most of latter part of the game

How many did GBay bring up into the box......8, 9 or even 10.....except for the db on Austin?

We have no idea how they are instructing him to call audibles. If Garrett doesn't want to call and audible the audible shouldn't be available.

I actually didn't think it was a terrible play call. It was a poor throw. He completes that pass and we probably win the game.

See the blame Romo thread. This has been my premise. Romo keeps changing the play calls at the line. They need to take the run/pass option away from him. He is not smart enough to know how to use it.

A real coach tells him to stop audibling in that case.

But I thought everyone on here loved it when Romo was in control of the offense lol
