There's been a lot of discussion here and elsewhere lately on the reasons for the demise of the Cowboys being a successful football team. On the field, the team can do no better than mediocrity. The owner continues to believe he's a football genius and fills the team with a few high priced skill players while continuing to ignore what it takes to consistently win football games, i.e. build from the trenches out.

All the while this embarrassment of a team that gut punches it's fans week after week continues to see those same fans buy tickets for the games, buy jerseys and other merchandise that line the pockets of the Jones family. Those same fans bash the starting QB too ignorant to realize it's not a players fault for this sad excuse for a teams performance but it's the Jones for how they run the team.

No matter what happens today, the stadium will again be full next week for the final. The fans will be putting blame on the Jones, Romo, etc. yet are too stupid to realize that they are ultimately responsible for continuing to support this farce of an organization. They'll leave with arms laden with over priced merchandise muttering how Some player has let the team down.

We've met the enemy,,,,,,and it is us.

Yes. We've heard this maybe once before. I do not see anything that will ever change how Jerry operates Period

You nailed it, as long as the fans keep supporting Jerry's world he will not change the way he manages the Cowboys. Until the fans change it will be more of the same.

I agree 100%. Stop buying tickets and merchandise and this team will be forced to make changes.

A heartfelt post.

I agree the fans have to take control of the situation..

But beyond merchandize sales and game-ticket sales declining..

I have a simple answer..

..start Booing for the cameras, fans.

When the announcers start talking in the booth..

start the Catcalls..

..let the other fans around the NFL know that the team..the players and the owner are wrong.

Jerrah and Stephen will immediately take notice and start scrambling to cover their mistakes.

Start today.

As soon as the Commanders kick the team out of the playoffs today..

..it needs to begin.

The stadium needs to be empty next week..too.

Then and only then..

is anything going to change.

I am guilty as well. My brother and I have been flying from Denver once a year to see a game. We usually sit in club seats, we've done the stadium tour and bought jerseys at the stadium. This year is going to be the last one for a while. Im sure Jerry wont miss our money but Im hoping others do the same. We figured we go see some games (non Dallas) at some other stadiums for a while. I love the Cowboys but the way they are managed turns my gut inside out.

I stopped buying merchandise for this reason.

But I read somewhere that just watching cowboy games and posting on these forums make the cowboys money. Don't they get paid per click TV/Internet?

I guess you "fans" won't be watching today then. You know ratings = advertising = revenue.
