Thinks Tony will be back in time for OTA's and says it's too early to invest a high draft pick in a qb. Said he's gone through this before with Aikman so he's experienced and He thinks Romo still has a long career ahead of him.

Unless a top QB falls in the draft i don't expect the Cowboys to get a QB. Frankly i would rather see resorces used on DL and OL.
 
I agree with Jerry... We are still trying to find that tight end who will take us to the glory land with this offense... Once he's found the mixing piece of the puzzle, lights out rest of the league.
 
Wouldn't surprise me. He never planned for Aikman's replacement either, even after he was gone. All we did back then was trade up to take Quincy and sign a bunch of scrubs. It took him luckying into an undrafted free agent to actually find a decent QB.

Really wouldn't be shocking if he doesn't try to find a QB until well after Romo is gone too. The guy has zero ability to plan for the future.
 
Again another person twisting Jerry's words. He didn't say he wasn't drafting a QB high in the draft and even if he did the draft is while away so a lot of things can happen between now and April. Also as we've seen in this league in the last few years you can find just as good or better QBs later in the draft then in the 1st and 2nd round.
 
I don't know why anybody would think that Jerruh is going to go QB. You can argue about Romo's contract all day, but the fact of the matter is you don't draft a guy's replacement when you just gave that guy $100 mil
 
An aging QB with who just had surgery on his back and Jones thinks Romo will perform at a championship level.
Get real.
It's amateur hour at Valley Ranch.

This is a fairly deep draft class for QB's ~ draft a QB and transition the team for the future.
 
Right, just get used to more 8-8 or worse type seasons while we keep the same coach and same QB. What is the definition of insanity again?
