Yahoo - Wilson success to force Jones to draft Manziel

Already can't wait until after the draft, so these stories will go away...LOL
Actually can't blame him as these questions at this time of year are normal, not a bad article, but read it fast.
I disagree with him on the drafting Escobar to copy the Patriots, way off base there IMO.

I think JJ or I hope JJ learned his lesson of the copy cat league [but all teams do it] when he drafted Quincy Carter. We know how that didn't work out.

Can't blame 'em for trying! Seahawks, Wilson, Jones, Cowboys & Johnny Football in a headline = $$$$.

On point, if we were to copy the Seahawks we wouldn't go after Manziel. We'd target Murray or Garoppolo or another 3rd/4th round prospect, which I think we will.
 
Hopefully, Jerry sees the fiasco going on in Washington with the Skins selling the shop to get RGIII.

I don't believe he will move up to get Manziel. He will focus on defense early in this draft {crosses fingers}

I hear you. I am a big Johnny football fan and I am OK with the height thing as he wouldn't be a drop back pocket passer anyway, but he just seems so scrawny, that I am not sure he can take the beating that NFL games dish out. If you told me he would hold up physically I'd take him top 10 all day. I feel like he is the 2nd coming of Tarkington minus the fraud and such.
 
I think it will be a top heavy Defensive draft. If any QB is picked, 4th round or below, if one falls to us, like McCarron. If not, maybe in the 7th. But I really don't expect a QB to be taken until 2015.

He will definitely need to add weight the way Brady and Matt Ryan did. Hopefully that will help his arm strength, because while exciting to watch he doesn't seem to have the arm to hit accurate NFL-quality out patterns and other tough throws. But he is fun to watch and so I hope he can make it happen.
 
He has the attitude that it takes to go against a defense like Seattle's, IMO.

It wont happen, though. Maybe if we hadn't extended Romo.
 
This is exactly the kind of move Jerry Jones has done in the past which has kept us in some level of cap hell for the last 17 years. You hope he has learned his lesson, but it would not surprise me one bit if Jerry Jones dumped this years and next years number one pick to grab Manziel.

I doubt he does this, but let's not forget the Joey Gallaway and Roy Williams (WR) trades . . . .
 
Hmm, that sounds like a wonderful plan ... if drafting Manziel comes with Seattle's defense as well.
 
Because Johnny Football is soooo much like Russell Wilson. Honestly, where in the hell do these guys spend their days? Locked away in a darkened room examining their toes and searching for navel lint?
 
You people seem to forget the Tony Romo contract just recently signed. Tony and Jerry are basically married to each other for the next 3 years.
 
I have no problem with getting Johnny football as long as it is the 3rd rd as was the case with Wilson. lol
