Hopefully, Jerry sees the fiasco going on in Washington with the Skins selling the shop to get RGIII.

I don't believe he will move up to get Manziel. He will focus on defense early in this draft {crosses fingers}

I think we should draft Johnny Football because he has such a cool sounding nick name. J/K. I think you're right. For all his faults, Jones has of late drafted based on the team's needs. Two years ago it was corner (+ Carr in free agency). Last year it was the O-line. This year I think he'll do whatever he can to upgrade this hurting D line. If he sacrifices that to move up and draft a QB, I think I'll just put a Madden game on autopilot each week and watch that instead of the real game.

I don't know why I'm still surprised this stuff gets serious consideration here. What are they going to do with Romo? Pay him all that money for him to tutor this guy? Or grab him now and let him learn under Romo; for how many years? I expect Romo to be here for several more years.

I don't care about any of the other stuff, the kid is just fun to watch. Isn't that what watching sports is about? If we got him I would be excited, if we don't, it won't break my heart.

I have no problem with getting Johnny football as long as it is the 3rd rd as was the case with Wilson. lol

I agree that would be a team that has a real opportunity to try and develop him. Otherwise when I think of Manziel I think of Tavaris Jackson, Vince Young, Jake Locker etc EXCEPT that he is a whiny little punk.

So the logic of the Yahoo article is that Jones needs a smaller, mobile QB so he will trade up for one? Apparently the writer thinks our QB last year was Drew Bledsoe.

By all means...Manziel would be a HUGE help to this defense.

Come on, people. Jerry Jones has to get two starting DLmen out of this draft. If our top-graded need doesn't have 17th-ranked "value", I'd trade back and get an extra pick before I took Manziel.

Don't be surprised at anything they do. Jason Garrett makes millions & Jerry admits he is learning on the job & they don't want to let him go because well another team might benefit. Jerry still hasn't figured out no other team would pay Jason millions but that is beside the point.

I really would not be surprised at anything they do. Even make a sane pick. They could do that

He is that. You never know what he'll do.

Would love to move up to get Manziel, not because of the copy cat league, but because he's good. He's from a top program, and he knows how to win. He's a true leader, and has talent out the backside. Plus, it's time for someone to push Tony off this team and start a new book. I know we need a defense, but honestly, we just need a good safety, and two pieces up front. Rework Ware, move Spencer along, keep Lee healthy, find a couple of FAST linemen, and just learn how to coach these guys up. There's our defense.

Offense, have Manziel or whatever QB you bring in "If you have the guts" to draft one, and have him compete with Tony. That will definitely put a FIRE under Romo and if he's better, then he'll have no problems beating out the rookie QB. But if he starts his choking bit during the season, then it's time for the new regime. By year two with the new QB in his Sophomore year, you could keep going heavy on defense. By year three, I think we're ready to compete for a Super Bowl.

But with what we have now, it's just not going anywhere.

like you have shown any judgement as regards QB quality....

Because Johnny Football is soooo much like Russell Wilson. Honestly, where in the hell do these guys spend their days? Locked away in a darkened room examining their toes and searching for navel lint?

you are giving them WAY TOO MUCH CREDIT...

It is hard to know how any player will come along I just see things from him that while it may work in college, it becomes a different story in the NFL, Throw off his back foot a lot and tends to throw the ball late over the middle. I also think being a red shirt sophomore he would be better off staying in school at least another year to mature but that is not going to happen. I actually wish him the best but I just have some major doubts of his ability at this level both from a physical and mental.

Manziel will get chopped up faster than RG3 has- he will never be able to take the hits on his slight frame that he will get in the NFL.

You have any guarantees Romo's back will be all right? Two surgeries within a year. We aren't talking minor surgeries, either.

There are no guarantees in life. He is doing very well right now and on schedule according to recent reports. What were the guarantees for Peyton returning? Dallas is not going to walk away from Romo as for Johnny Football? What guarantee he is not the next vince young? The guy loves the night life and partying that is going to play well with the Dallas media and fans alike.

I agree Dallas put up an avg over 27.4 a game 5th with in the NFL we scored points, what killed us was defense was dealing with a boat load of injuries that plagued us from the get go

go with the "poor mans " version of Manziel........the QB from Wyo-----4th round or lower, let him learn under Romo for a few years, without the pressure to play him right off the bat.
