You people seem to forget the Tony Romo contract just recently signed. Tony and Jerry are basically married to each other for the next 3 years.

Did you forget that Romo has just had two back surgeries within a year? Yeah, Tony and Jerry are "married" as you say and hopefully Romo can play those 3 years. If he can't, we are up a serious creek. If Romo can't go, I sure would like to see what Manziel can do as a QB.

If Dallas got him the 1st report he was out partying the same media would have a cow as well as the fans. I think the guy is a great college QB I'm not sold at all that he will be a good NFL QB.

Drafting a QB would be as cheap as carrying Orton. So just for the sake of knowing, what would it take to jump up to 5 if JF is there? I don't do the draft day trades well:confused: so help me out here...and for the record JF is not my style QB.

Would love to move up to get Manziel, not because of the copy cat league, but because he's good. He's from a top program, and he knows how to win. He's a true leader, and has talent out the backside. Plus, it's time for someone to push Tony off this team and start a new book. I know we need a defense, but honestly, we just need a good safety, and two pieces up front. Rework Ware, move Spencer along, keep Lee healthy, find a couple of FAST linemen, and just learn how to coach these guys up. There's our defense.

Offense, have Manziel or whatever QB you bring in "If you have the guts" to draft one, and have him compete with Tony. That will definitely put a FIRE under Romo and if he's better, then he'll have no problems beating out the rookie QB. But if he starts his choking bit during the season, then it's time for the new regime. By year two with the new QB in his Sophomore year, you could keep going heavy on defense. By year three, I think we're ready to compete for a Super Bowl.

But with what we have now, it's just not going anywhere.

The only thing similar between Wilson and JF is there height. Outside of that JF is the most exciting, dynamic, player to come out in over a decade.

Not top 10 pick? Lol. Go watch some football people!

If you're moving up to that spot and giving away everything that goes with it you have to take either Bortles or Bridgewater. I like Manziel but those guys are safer bets. If however, part of your move is for marketing purposes then you draft Manziel and that would be the worst move in franchise history.

I've never heard of a brilliant marketing move yet that won a team a Super Bowl.

He is an exciting, dynamic college player. That doesn't mean it will translate to the NFL.

Makes perfect sense, we need defensive players so we trade up and draft a QB. ~Jerruh wink~

Manzell isn't as good as Wilson. And Wilson is a success because Seattle has a great team around him. One of the top defenses in the NFL, good offensive talent around him. Basically they are building like they are the 90s Cowboys for the long hall. We don't care about defense and we don't care to ever really run the ball. We aren't built to win games.

True, but lets not act likes he's Tim Tebow out there either. He can throw the ball and make plays. You saw that this year when he didn't run as much. I liken him to Romo actually, but with better running skills.

Bridgewater and Bortles might not translate to the nfl as well. It's a crap shoot.

If we can put together a historic defense and a great running game, I have no problem with Manziel. This year proved you can win a title without a QB who can throw in the pocket.

I know people say this all the time, but I swear to God...if JJ does this, I'm done.

Does what? Trades up for Manziel or stays where he is and picks Manziel if available?
I doubt Jerry does the former. I have no doubt he'd pick Manziel if he's there when we pick.

No kidding, I have no beef with the guy and yes have watched a lot of his games. I think he is a boom or bust type player.
