Listening to NFL radio this morning, Ross Tucker ranks Dallas #3 behind Miami and Cleveland as most dysfunctional organization in the NFL. Agree or disagree?

can't say I disagree, but can't say I agree. it depends on the definition of dysfunctional. we don't have player personnel issue like miami or the front office drama like Cleveland. but our GM sucks. so how many teams in the NFL with bad GMs and issues at the coaching ranks..Minnesotta? Tampa? Oakland? Tenn? Rams? Commanders? Lions? Jags?

all these teams underachieved one way or the other. if you want to include under achieving, then yes we rank in the top 10 for sure. and with that said, it speaks to Garrett being able to get to 8-8 with this type of dysfunctional front office.

We're absolutely a train wreck right now, and it all comes down to one person. We have a lot of advantages that other teams don't have, and there's no reason why we shouldn't be a contender every year (somewhat like the Patriots).

We're probably number 1 because we're the only franchise where the owner also likes to dress up and play GM. Our Head Coach was neutered, is clueless and is only here because he appeases the puppet master and plays the role of a good boy.

No other team had the mess we do at the top. Locker room stuff will always sort itself out, but our organizational cancers are malign and deep rooted.

Not to mention we are seemingly the only team in cap hell every off-season.

Yup, but Russ Brandon is not set to take over ownership when Ralph Wilson passes. As of right now, the plan after his death is that the team goes to the highest bidder, which doesn't bode well for them staying in Buffalo. Which is why Kelly has been trying to gather investors for years to try and purchase the team, to keep them in Buffalo. Problem is, Erie county has essentially stated that they have no desire to have the team there any more once the new contract is up, as it's actually costing an already poor county quite a bit of money. Wilson's refusal to sell the team while he's alive immediately makes them one of the more dysfunctional teams in the league.

Affording it is one thing. But who wants to work under Jerry Jones' thumb? It is not for everyone. Now if they need money, possibly.

If you aren't wise enough to spend that money well - money is no advantage.

Oh, and Jacksonville and Buffalo can buy all the coaches they want to. Have you ever heard of a single coach that turned a coaching opportunity down because he can get more money somewhere else?

Guys, that was the whole point. I started out disagreeing with someone that money doesn't matter when there's a cap, and agreeing with Catch that it *should* be an advantage in these other areas where there is no cap. Jerry obviously chooses not to use it.

Those are sooo much more important than money. Again, where does the Dallas Cowboys organization exceed anyone else in terms of advantages that matter?

Taking Jerry out of the equation, I'd be curious to know what makes them dysfunctional. That can't be the only reason. 90s Cowboys off-field stuff would warrant that ranking.

The current incarnation of the Cowboys are actually quite boring.

Probably nothing. But Jerry is such a huge part of the equation you cannot simply take him out.

He created a circus of a game experience that draws heavy scrutiny from NFL purists and he is too stubborn to realize that he is the problem.

Edit: Oh yeah. Dez Bryant is also a criminal. /sarcasm
