This is a business and this is the best business decision

No
Best business would have been to make him stay with a paycut
You do that by telling him you will designate him a June 1 cut when FA dollars have dried up or he can take a cig now and stay

The joneses are idiots

Well, we can thank our awesome GM for this move. I mean if it wasn't for him we wouldn't be in this mess.

Honestly it would have been foolish to keep him at 16 mil a year. It was a great however so many years, but if you won't take a paycut then goodbye.

No need to worry, we have George Selvie to rush the passer. Jerry has it under control.

Well. Give him credit. He drafted the player, then overpayed, and then had the sense to release him when it became too expensive.
