Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins: Dallas players are the problem; Cowboys defense won’t be any better

Well duh. I saw the exact same thing in person Mr. Jenkins. And my seat was several rows up from field level.

When your core of talented players are on the sidelline or hobbled, and the rest are hobos, would you expect something different? Ryan's last year in Dallas wasn't all that dissimilar. He had an bloody laceration right up the gut of his Dallas defense to work with. We have made a few moves this offseason to improve the defense. The improvements must continue during the draft. Everything will not get fixed in 2014, but efforts have already begun for addressing the player problem.

Those hobbled guys are gone and we haven't done much in the way of replacing them.

Pretty spot on if you really look at it. Are there any pro bowlers on this D. we have 2 maybes ... maybe Lee and Maybe Melton. Thats it.

Who cares about pro bowlers that didnt equal success in the last decade either.. We just need the team to play together and be on the same page. If we can get average production out of the defense we will be a very good team.

I am sure this clown is wrong. Just like Ray Lewis and Ed Reid who said the offense was very predictable….its all lies from rivals who hate.

Oh look, the Cowboys are being bullied again!

I'm thankful we have a team full of RKG's that do their talking on the field.

Regardless of the veracity of his words, why is he speaking on Dallas, at all? He's an Eagle FA signee, shouldn't he be talking up what the Eagles are going to do this year? Just curious.

Why do kids get tormented and bullied in schools? What's the reasoning? There is none. Bullies do it b/c they can and know there will be no pushback. That's how the league views the Cowboys now. They know they can talk, cheap shot, disrespect this team and we'll do nothing about it. That's what the Dallas Cowboys have become. The league is just following the blueprint set by the Giants and Brandon Jacobs 5 years ago.

Good post Z, and relates to relative life circumstances. You are only bullied if you allow yourself to be. Pick up boxing for crying sake? Learn to manage your own problem without being the victim? Too hard...big dudes are hit with the pipe in the leg:D = equal footing? Sorry if I got too DC there:D Stop being scared of folks, you are capable.

Eventually you have to stand up for yourself or else it will never end. Whether it be on a crucial 3rd down play or a Week 17 elimination game, this team rarely ever stands up for itself. That's why players on other teams constantly take swipes at this franchise.

Hear ya completely, look to our "home field" advantage? Not saying make this a DC youth camp, but they can show more with the right coach (respect this field! even if you win;)). Under appreciated BP for that aspect.

Very true. It doesn't help when our fearless leader gives interviews that are nationally run that say oh well we still draw huge ratings no matter our record!

These are our leaders.

A man who has no shame in seeing his team lose in embarrassing fashion every December in a stadium half filled by the opposing fanbase.

And another man who is just happy to have a job and takes no issue in being called a trainee.

When these two are your leaders, is it really a shock that the players are the bullied instead of the bullies?

But you do acknowledge that efforts have begun towards rebuilding the defensive line? To ask more concisely, the front office has done more than nothing at all? The defensive line is not fixed yet. Far from it, but it is being addressed. The process will not be completed in the short-term.

No ****!

Can we please get some junkyard dog mean players on the Cowboys? Someone who will see something like this being said, circle the Eagles game on the calendar and make the guy pay.

You come into the NFC East bad-mouthing the Dallas defense, then you had damn well better keep your head on a swivel.

Please, please find some players like that. Now that Demarcus "let me help you up" Ware is gone, maybe we can get some attitude on defense.

Another reason why I want Timmy Jernigan in the middle of our defense next to Melton. 2 Dogs up front and center is the way you build attitude on D.
