2014 Boston Red Sox Action

So now the WS that the Red Sox bought in 2004 actually was a good thing for baseball? Dude, you are all over the place like a wave tossed to and fro. This is what happens when you try and bash other teams for doing the same thing your team does and you get exposed for the hypocrisy and revisionist history you spew.

My goodness, I knew Skankee fans were delusional, but this takes the cake.

This thread has gotten better than anything on Comedy Central.

Its amazing how certain guys put up big years, like the year Ellsbury hit all the HR's and then have a huge dropoff and injuries. No roids and the dropoff in the short term. Roids in the long term does its work to the body so they are more injury prone. Not saying that a lil speed guy, slap hitter, like Jacoby was on the roids or anything. I'll leave that up to others to speculate about. But, if the shoe fits . . . . . . . . . . .

I will continue to keep this civil.

Simply stated... Ellsbury, what I like most about him, intangibles. It ain't all about stats. The guy is Jeter in many ways. Boston never had a "Jeter". We got two now.

Give me a tangible guy that "gets it done" someway, somehow...

We will see...

We'll see how he does with that Yankee pixie dust. We may see a resurgence. Seems that over the years old broken down players, or guys that havent done much lately get some new found strength and energy in NY. That may have changed some with the new testing for substances tho.

Bingo! Haha!

"The fear is strong in this one"... Resurgence will renew your misery. You know it can happen... It may happen.

Substance? Like. Big Papi?

Yea, you would think Jacoby would know how to beat the system being on the same team as Big Sloppi.

No fear, just a recognition of how thinks happen.

It's gonna be rough for you when the Yankees get back to knocking boston out of it.
The couple o' three World Series won't be enough to ease that pain.

That day is coming! We were one bad inning away from sweeping da sox!

Im not a Boston fan, so it wont be rough for me.

Really? I can't say I remember ever seeing Jeter make one of the most boneheaded baserunning mistakes I have ever seen from any baseball game above the Little League level.

Yeah he sure "got it done" when he cost his team a run Sunday night when he thought he was playing Pee-Wee Baseball.

Sooooo.... You never made a bad decision?

Not as an adult while doing what I do for a living, no.

First you compared Ellsbury to Ruth. Then you compared him to Jeter. A better comparison would be to A-Rod.... not in terms of talent, but in the sense that the Yankees will soon be on their hands and knees praying for a way to get out Ellsbury's contract just like they do every single day right now with A-Rod.

Not comparing to Ruth - same possible result via transplanting to New York.

Your terms are silly and don't make any sense... AND you don't believe that anyways.

Yankees vs Red Sox - ALCS, GAME 7. Tie game, in New York.
1. Ellsbury walks
2. Steals second
3. Steals third
4. Scores on wild pitch
5. Sends Yankees to their 28th.... TWENTY EIGHTH PENNANT TITLE!!

Dont the Yankees have like 40 AL Pennants?

Good gravy. You're trying to argue baseball and yet you honestly just don't have a clue of the difference between winning the pennant and winning the World Series, do you?

Your statement above was not a typo. It was ignorance on display from someone who doesn't even know what "winning the pennant" really means.

Yeah yeah American League pennant, national league pennant. Big deal. Lol

Really? All that I wrote and that is what you replied to? Oh lord. Why don't you just point out a spelling error as a rebuttal? Would make you look less silly. I didn't put 28th World Series or 41st pennant title.

Boston 12 pennants? Lol

When you are trying to debate a subject, displaying a tremendous amount of ignorance about that subject kinda is a big deal.

A spelling error or typo is perfectly understandable. I make 'em all the time. But demonstrating you don't know the difference between a World Series Championship and winning the pennant shows a tremendous amount of ignorance on the subject of baseball.

Be fair Rogah. Earlier, you posted a statement about Florida and their championships in this Millennium in error. I would not, based on that error, assume you to be ignorant on the subject of baseball. I would simply assume that you have made a mistake. We all do it once in awhile.

My only mistake was the I mashed pennant and WS title to finish off sentence.
(You see , I admitted a mistake... You can't do that lol).

Too add. You used the word ignorance incorrectly.

The rest of the post and point still stands.

Actually, 2 errors.... or is it 2 mistakes?

Yankees total WS wins this millennium are 2 not 1
Florida total WS wins this millennium is 1 not 2

Again, be fair. It was a simple error. No big deal, we all make them. Me, probably more so then either of you.

Actually it is 0 mistakes for me - but your total keeps climbing, doesn't it?

Um, fellas, the millennium began in 2001, not 2000.

I said what I mean, I meant what I said, and I 100% stand by my statement that Florida and NY have the same amount of championships this millennium.

(And Boston has 3 times as many championships this millennium compared to the Yankees.)
