Like I said, I don't want Manziel, not at this time, not in this draft. However, I am readying myself for the possibility. If there is one thing I have learned about Jerry, its that he likes to make a splash and nothing would make a bigger one in this draft. I could 100% see him doing this and, in turn, giving up entirely too much to do it.

I would love to have JFF on our team. However, man it will cost a lot! The Rams and Texans are probably inundated with all kinds of offers right now. I just don't think we have the juice to get him.

Big Manziel fan here and I still don't know why people aren't excited to see Johnny go somewhere and actually play, not rot on the bench. I'm just hoping he doesn't go to Cleveland... he'll be doomed then. Very much looking forward to Manziel in the NFL this fall, boom or bust... especially after last year's dismal class of QBs.

I'd love to get JF, this team needs him, let's face it we are in rebuilding mode, so we why not start now, we are still 2 to 3 years and a new HC away from competing for a SB.
In no way is this a knock on Tony, he is a heck of a QB but the reality is that he has no chance here in Dallas in the next couple of years.

Saying all of that, it ain't gonna happen lol.

We can bring him in on his second contract if he's panned out. Let someone else roll the dice on the rookie contract.

If he pans out he wont be on the marked for us or anyone else to bring inn

Saw this on Dez's Facebook page and thought it was somewhat interesting.

I'd love to get to Manziel, it almost seems destined for him to be a Cowboy ... he's from Texas and he's a Cowboys fan, he's got the confidence and swagger that reminds me of Irvin and he also seems to be a really good leader. I'm also a big fan of Romo and I've always been certain if he could have a solid defense he could win a Super Bowl. However, imagining Manziel and Dez leading the Cowboys out of this nightmare is almost too true to think about ... I know this though, if we didn't have Romo, I'll guarantee Manziel would be a Dallas Cowboy. 100% confident on that. Regardless, I'll be following him wherever he gets drafted and hopefully he succeeds.

I just heard this morning that St. Louis is a real possibility for Manziel at #2. Thursday can't come soon enough!

Bingo!!!! Romo will be too old by the time this team is ready to compete again and I highly doubt we ever compete with Garrett at the helm. Might as well have a young gunslinger ready to go when we hire our next coach. If he somehow fell to us Jerry would almost have to take him but I doubt he falls.

I do think you may be right regarding Romo and the wrong window. The O-line is finally getting in order, but the defense is a long ways away. By the time that gets acceptable, then Romo's time may be over.

I think the next QB, whoever it ends up being, should be set up fairly well IF the rebuild on defense is somewhat successful.

Tony's window was brief, but real. They needed to make a deep run in the 2007-2009 time frame...with 2007 being the best team all-around. Problem is, he was only in his 2nd year a starter and they lost to the SB champ in the playoffs. 2010-2013 were pretty hopeless years...wasted really. I don't think any QB could have taken them deep in the playoffs with those teams.

Maybe the D will be above average and the line will still be okay by 2015 or 2016 and whoever is QBing can help get this done.

I am a huge Tony supporter. With that said I'm trading our first, 4th, and Claiborne, and going:

1. Manziel
2. Crichton
3. BPA

we are growing. i'll take the 10%. it will grow tenfold when he's actually drafted by us.

the minute we draft manziel, the whole aura around the team will change. right now, we have a loser vibe infested in the locker room. when you bring manziel's swagger and confidence into that locker room, everybody's play will improve including the defense. the man is that much of a charismatic leader. when his defense was getting shredded in the duke bowl game, he was the one on the sidelines chewing them out and demanding one stop so the offense could come back and win that game. we don't have any types of leaders like that currently on the team.

I just laugh at you..."when he's acttually drafted by us". smh

If the Texans are getting offers, it is for Clowney.
The Rams could be getting offers for the 13th pick, but that would only be if he fell that far.
