Im sorry but most of us here could have done a better job over these last 18 years, I mean, how many mistakes has JJ made and keeps making?

I have said this for a long time. Some of the better draftniks on this board would certainly do better. They could hire one of these guys for three days out of the year and save the wasted money on scouting.

Why do you say he could have been available in the 5th or 6th? What is your evidence of this?

Aside from draft analysts, it is my assumption based on watching him play. He was good in college and he made the most of his abilities, but that right there is my concern; His abilities are somewhat limited in my opinion. He is a slow to me as far as pass recognition and reacting to the passing game. If he is asked to play WLB or MLB, I am very concerned that opposing teams will simply eat him alive with the pass. It would be a big weakness in my opinion.

No doubt his skill set will make him a fan favorite on the special teams packages, but, you can get those type of players in the late rounds. As I said up top, I hope he works out and I am completely wrong. Wouldn't be the first time. But, my opinion is based on watching the guy play as well as the talking heads. Not worth the pick.

He has bad weight as in his body fat % is too high. I didn't comment on his actual performance in that context. I agree he runs well.

Gotcha. He seems oddly quick for a guy with a thick upper body. But the dude looks excellent in coverage. I love, love, love the confident linebackers. Someone that doesn't second guess and get stuck standing in the middle of nowhere with his thumb up his rear (ahem, Bobby Carpenter). This guy reads the play and gets to where he needs to be ASAP. Occasionally guys like this and Lee will guess wrong and leave a gap but I'd rather him be overconfident than not do a damn thing.

I like the pick. He'll be starting by the end of the year, is my guess.
