You do know she did that to lessen her chances of dying from breast cancer right? Her mother died from it & I believe her maternal aunt. The odds were very high she was at risk to develop that.

She may be a lot of things but I cannot fault her for that. Lots of women do that same thing. I actually think it's quite brave.

Make fun if you want but it's not all that uncommon & I, as a woman, cannot say I would not do the very same thing. Fortunately for me my maternal medical history is clear of breast cancer. Hers is not.

My wife's is not. Her mom has had skin cancer twice and her grandmother had breast and mouth cancer. At this rate....all she would be left is a bag of bones if she went hacking away cancer stuff. Its ridiculous to go hacking away at the body about what "might happen".

Well to each his own. It's her body & as I said many women do the same as Angie. I'm sure she didn't just wake up one day & decide to do this. It's not stupid or ridiculous but believe as you will.

Yep. There's plenty that she's done to make me question her sanity but this isn't one of them.

I'm not too into who gets married or not our there, but you're off base with cancer prevention thing. She had a very good reason to do what she did and it could have saved her life longer term.

I have 2 friends that have done this because of the breast cancer gene they carried. If a doctor tells you the percentage is high you will die one day from this you think differently. It's harsh but well life is hard sometime. We girls can live without the boobies!
