It's going to be the same old with this team.

2nd and 1, from the 2 yard line with a chance to tie the game back up and we call a pass. When our OL was pretty much having their way with the San Fran front 7.

1st and goal from the 5, call a Romo pass............ interception, game likely over.

They won't change. Ever. Linehan is a pass happy coordinator. Garrett wants to throw too. All this bull**** talk about run game and our new OL and Murray needing more touches was just what many thought it was........... lip service.

They will blow the one strength we have - the OL. We could run and play action teams to death, also control the clock and keep the defense off the field. But they won't. Because they are too stupid.

No, The OP is correct..

Those two first mishaps were rectified soon. Well, one was. Tyson played well after that.. Murray never got to rectify his mistake with a TD in the first because of this lame pass happy coaching staff.

The point is a fumble is a mistake that shouldn't happen. Murray has always been sloppy with the ball and it came back to bite him last night.

I'll be glad when the Garrett/Romo era is over. I've never thought it was a good idea for your QB and Head coach to be best buddies, there is never any accountability. All we ever hear from Romo after one of his screw up games is "I have to be better than that, I'll be better next time, I promise" it's sickening.

You are 100% correct. The stupidity on this coaching staff is epic. Same ole thing year after year.

Don't forget, he'll also watch the tape. He wants to be 100% certain that Dez and Witten weren't triple covered.

excellent post. Frankly, I would add that our GM is of the same mindset as others that are pass-happy. Jerry wants to put on a show, he wants his 100 million dollar man flingin the ball around the ole ball yard.

It really does look like game 49 of the 2011 season. Not only should have Romo and Garrett been divorced by now but wade Wilson has no purpose if Romo is still doing the same ignorant stuff year after year. These 3 are effective together but we're too stuck in 2011 to make a change. Same stuff different season.

The play called was a run but the QB pulled Another audible...

Not the play that Harris was wide open and Tony missed him only to force the ball to Witten. That was a pass play that should have been a run. Yes, I know I know, if Romo had thrown it to Harris no one would have anything to say, but he didn't. He made a rookie read and mistake, so there's plenty to say.

I don't think you have to get that far into the game.

False start before we ever ran a play.

Absolutely knew we were in for a horrible game when this happened. Get your team ready. You're playing at home against a contender. Then big bad Murray works all offseason and has something to prove and boom, fumble. The entire team is cursed.

Yeah I'm talking about the goal line opportunities where Murray could have easily run it in the way our line was getting push..

This whole thing is a mess, but for those continually blaming the coaching staff - and I have no problem with that -, please remember this isnt the first time the wonder boy qb has changed out of a called run play and audibled to a pass with disastrous results.

I almost wish Murray would punch Romo.

You've got a long wait. We're stuck in the Romo era for many more years. Romo audibles out of a run and will not be held accountable. He has more power than his coaches - Jerry has made that clear. We're doomed.

I wanted to give this staff one more chance but I think after one game, I have finally come around to a change being needed.

I am too. First and goals from the 5 is an opportunity where Murray old run it in with the way our OLINE was blocking. I'm all for four straight runs right there. All for it!

Well they need to strip the QB of his goal line audible privledges...

You're right about the summer BFF routine, though that's surely on Garrett's and not Tony's initiative.

But I disagree in lumping them together.

What makes me sick is that we're never going to see what Romo could do with a different and much better coach. Jerry was lucky enough to stumble into a franchise QB and he flushed it all away with his pet project family friend puppet.

I thought Jerry would give Romo at least a couple of years with a proven, experienced voice before his career was over, but we may be seeing the end of Romo's career happen right before our eyes. And we, and Tony, are never going to know what he could have done with a coach who knew how to get the best out of him. It's absolutely disgusting.
