IRVING (105.3 THE FAN) – The Dallas Cowboys rushing attack dominated the Titans defense on Sunday, piling up 220 yards on the ground en route to a 26-10 victory.

With the running game rolling on all cylinders, Tony Romo and the passing attack largely took a backseat.

If this is a retread, please delete.

I hope they're not somehow trying to blame how lousy Romo has looked on the running game somehow.

In all fairness, he did start looking good throwing the ball after those low throws to Dez. Form, zip, everything looked better in the 4th quarter. So take that information and do whatever you like with it but him looking better in the 4th quarter than in the 1st has to make you go hmmm

That's the first time I ever heard that used as a reason, not in a throwing rythm...just seems lame...
hope this doen't mean they will throw it more, just to establish it.

But probably reading into it much more than it seems. Was that the intent of what he was really saying, or reporters creative interpretation...LOL

I just hope that it's a sign that he's getting back in the groove, but I don't want to see the running game used as any sort of excuse for how he's looked.

I agree. There is something to getting into a rhythm, much like Murray got into a rhythm but he has to be sharper on simple throws and I believe he will be.

Kinda the flip side of the "running backs need to get into a rhythm" argument, isn't it?

I know it's fun to call the coach an idiot in every thread, but I'd prefer to save the juicy terms for things that are actually idiotic.

Right now let's just worry about keeping Murray in a rhythm....

This is literally the first time I've ever seen a coach essentially say "Our QB didn't look good because we were running the ball so well."

That is the kind of thing that would only come out of the mouth of Jason Garrett or Jerry Jones.

Exactly
Usually coaches say that running the ball effectively makes the QB look good but not Garrett
Maybe if Murray runs 10 times at 2 yds/carry that will be better for tony?

Here's the offending quote, for those who haven't opened the link:

“Sometimes when you play quarterback and you’re running the ball a lot — and that’s the feature part of your offense — sometimes you can get out of whack a little bit because you’re not having the normal and natural rhythm that you have every week,” said Garrett with Shan & RJ on 105.3 The Fan.

I am just astonished....

Laughably bad excuse. That is a typical Garrett-ism type comment. Would love to keep this rushing rhythm going as it's something we haven't really had in a long long time.
