I really hope they dont go away from running the ball when its working to get romo into a rhythm. That said, they dont need to be a running team, they just need a balanced attack to keep the defense honest.

Better be careful, the Opinion Police will be all over you for that one!

We've been burned too many times by this team saying one thing and doing another. Plus, history indicates that passing OCs and coaches can talk about being run based all they want but in the end, when push comes to shove, they pass and when the #$%^ hits the fan, they default pass.

So when I hear Garrett say this, it really makes me wonder.

History certainly supports being concerned rather than the "nothing to see here", "it's all in your head" scolding some are trying to give.

What some people - who think they're smart - do is to have the unmitigated gall to try - and fail - to tell others what to think.

It's certainly no 'leap' to believe that an under-qualified coach who has never been able to grasp the nuances of the running game would consider yet again shifting away from it.

Facts and history are clearly on the side of the doubters, despite what any of the 'Super Fans' who feel obligated to rush to the defensive, may want to believe.

Garrett gets this criticism because he's earned it.

We all hope that there's 'nothing to see here', but with the head coach's track record, he doesn't get that benefit of the doubt.

LOL! You didn't need to confirm that your immediate, emotional leap was based on your negative opinion of Garrett. Already knew that.

And like I said before, that's how smart people reach conclusions. Quickly and emotionally!

Keep telling yourself you're "smart" on an internet message board while trying to defend the history of a proven mediocre head coach.

And then chastise anyone not "smart enough" to think like you do.

Pure genius...

Keep "LOL"ing if you think it makes you look like you know what you're talking about.

And keep instigating trouble with everyone who doesn't think the same way you do. I see how and where these issues for the moderators to clean up continue to start.

Really illustrates all of the "smarts" and intelligence you keep quoting.

You contributions to this topic have truly been an inspiration to all who have had the pleasure of reading them.

History certainly supports being concerned rather than the "nothing to see here", "it's all in your head" scolding some are trying to give.

History supports being concerned no matter what Garrett says. But there's no objective reading of the totality of Jason Garrett's post-TEN game comments that supports the fear that "we're gonna throw it more." Tony's comments either, for that matter. You can only get there from cherry picking and THEN reading between the lines. Not that that stops anybody from jumping conclusions.

Jason's other comments on the offensive performance again, because they're relevant and not getting much attention:

"This is how you want to play,” said Garrett, who was more emphatic than is customary about practically everything in his postgame remarks.

“If you can run the ball, run the clock, you can control the football game. You need to be a physical football team to win in this league. We want to be a balanced offense that attacks you a lot of different ways.”

And as usual the actual quote isn't anything bad or alarming. What he's saying makes perfect sense.

I think so. In it's larger context, especially. But, hay, it's Thursday after a win in Dallas. There ought to be something to be unhappy about. I'm shocked it's this and not three team leaders missing the gameplan-install practice session, though.

Well, Romo is just going to have to find a way to get in rhythm with a big-time rushing attack, because I'm not about to give up a sun game like I've been wanting for over a decade now.

I think he'll take the wins all day long.

Ride that run game as far as it'll take us and let the QB ease back into things. He already said more than once that stats don't mean anything without the W.
