Better be careful, the Opinion Police will be all over you for that one!
We've been burned too many times by this team saying one thing and doing another. Plus, history indicates that passing OCs and coaches can talk about being run based all they want but in the end, when push comes to shove, they pass and when the #$%^ hits the fan, they default pass.
So when I hear Garrett say this, it really makes me wonder.
Stupid Cowboy fans.
Right, because as we all know, Garrett making a boneheaded comment is a ridiculous premise.
The irony is suffocating.
What some people - who think they're smart - do is to have the unmitigated gall to try - and fail - to tell others what to think.
It's certainly no 'leap' to believe that an under-qualified coach who has never been able to grasp the nuances of the running game would consider yet again shifting away from it.
Facts and history are clearly on the side of the doubters, despite what any of the 'Super Fans' who feel obligated to rush to the defensive, may want to believe.
Garrett gets this criticism because he's earned it.
We all hope that there's 'nothing to see here', but with the head coach's track record, he doesn't get that benefit of the doubt.
Right, because as we all know, Garrett making a boneheaded comment is a ridiculous premise.
LOL! You didn't need to confirm that your immediate, emotional leap was based on your negative opinion of Garrett. Already knew that.
And like I said before, that's how smart people reach conclusions. Quickly and emotionally!
One can only hope.
Keep telling yourself you're "smart" on an internet message board while trying to defend the history of a proven mediocre head coach.
And then chastise anyone not "smart enough" to think like you do.
Pure genius...
Oh, this thread was about defending Garrett's "history" or slamming him for it? LOLLLLLL
History certainly supports being concerned rather than the "nothing to see here", "it's all in your head" scolding some are trying to give.
"This is how you want to play,” said Garrett, who was more emphatic than is customary about practically everything in his postgame remarks.
“If you can run the ball, run the clock, you can control the football game. You need to be a physical football team to win in this league. We want to be a balanced offense that attacks you a lot of different ways.”
Here's the offending quote, for those who haven't opened the link:
And as usual the actual quote isn't anything bad or alarming. What he's saying makes perfect sense.
I will find the video that shows Romo mad because of a run call ...
Well, Romo is just going to have to find a way to get in rhythm with a big-time rushing attack, because I'm not about to give up a sun game like I've been wanting for over a decade now.
