The Cowboys are trying to figure out a routine to help Tony Romo’s problematic back not be a problem on Sundays. So after taking Wednesday off, he practiced fully on Thursday and felt much better. Romo said he felt tightness in his surgically repaired back, but the rest helped. “It was just to try something…http://youwillnotrackme2.net/b.gif?host=profootballtalk.nbcsports.com&blog=&post=2282519&subd=nbcprofootballtalk&ref=&feed=1

If he gets roughed up and struggles to get the ball down field this week, they'll begin the think about siting him, they'll have no choice.

They really must get the next guy in here next draft.

It seems obvious that Tony's back will never be right.

Heard it hear first. 49ers are not a real team!

Not in the context of three turnovers and 21 points before Garrett said Gosh Darn to the refs for a bad call.

That changed the fight in the 9ers and their strategy. So to suggest they were going all out after they had the game in hand might be a stretch.

This week we'll see a *******ized version of the 46 defense. They will line up a hat on the cente3r and both guard and double Dez. The linebackers will aid the ends and cut off the outside running game if they can.

This is to force a wounded Romo to beat them in the air with Butterfly Beasley, TWill, and Witten.

I said this yesterday and someone suggested he wanted to see that happen. I presume he thought this would be good for the Cowboys. However, if they shut down Murray, and Romo is still tossing Quincy like ducks, this is not a W by any means.

peyton's neck will never be right either. you gotta give a guy a bit to get in shape. sheesh. anthony spencer everyone gives a pass "It'll take 8-10 games to get back in playing shape"...but tony gets less than 2 games??? Give it time.

Gimme is the man with the plan:

CCboy, get the DeLorean out of the garage!
Corso, Git me some plutonium from the drugstore!
5Stars, Toss a golf club inside the DeLorean to entice Romo INTO the car.
Waving monkey, get us some Texas BBQ and plenty of . . . cold refreshments to take along.

I, Gimme, will drive the car back to 2008 to reclaim some of his youth. Presto, chango!

That's the one sure way to get Romo back to his supreme, healthy being.

If you think his back will be fine from here on out continue.

I don't. I think it will forever give him issues from here on out & make things hard for him.

They need to draft a QB next spring.

You! Make yoself useful and go look for Romo! He might be at the clubhouse or at the golf course or just sitting around somewhere in Turtle Creek counting his monies and doing some social climbing. We needs to get him into the DeLorean. I am counting on you!
Don't give me that look. Hurry!

I hope that Romo's surgeon performed a miracle on his back and this is all the result of continued healing, getting in game shape and determining what he will be able to do physically moving forward (once you're cut on, wherever you're cut on, you're never the same).... That said, being a Romo fan, from what I've seen so far I'm worried as hell.

Managing by hope. Recipe for disaster.

Its just that easy..just like franchise rb.s in the 4th round

Yeah, people forget how lucky we were with Romo. To get a guy like him you have to either suck horrifically (and it's still a crap shoot), or get lucky as hell. That position is so nuanced that determining success at the NFL level is best done with a Ouija board.

The only routine needed to save Romo's back is a) Bench Doug Free on Sundays for the next 14+ weeks

Well, I hope there is a miracle out there, but having had this operation, after 6 months, it's as good as it's going to get, the healing is over.
