How many times was the comparison made by some. Well.... did you see the end of the first half of tonight's Monday night game? Long TD given up just before half? ESPN post game called it "JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL." Hmmm.... I thought Fisher was a REAL coach.

Just another example of how people try to accentuate every Garrett "mistake" but ignore the stuff that happens in the NFL EVERY single weekend.

Fisher also has no clue on what it takes to have a stud offense. He has drafted poorly w/Snead when they got those picks from Deadskins.

Good point MissouriCowboy. Was about to mention that key point. What did Fisher do with his "higher" draft picks? I think he doesn't have "process" when running a team

I never got the fascination with Fisher. He had some good teams with the Titans but never went deep into the playoffs but since then I'm not impressed.

Fisher is just doing a horrible job in St. Louis. They aren't completely devoid of talent on defense yet they aren't that good on that end right now. They have been snake bit on offense losing your star QB for the last year and a half. But they also lack talent on offense at the skill positions. They have 2 pretty solid TEs but absolutely nothing at WR and RB.

Jeff Fisher is by far the most overrated coach in the NFL and there's no comparison. People had a man crush on him because he was a "BIG NAME" who was stern and wasn't really a player friendly coach like a Wade Phillips. But the guy has been a underachiever and he ruined Vince Young's career IMO.

Vince Young ruined his career by being Vince Young. He couldn't make NFL passes consistently and made a lot of bad decisions off the field.

I disagree. Vince needs his share of the blame but Jeff Fisher treated him like he was a undrafted free agent. No other lottery pick quarterback who had Vince's success in the Win/Loss column would get yanked in and out of the lineup. Fisher is a idiot and he's holding the Rams back.

Quoted for truth.

This is the first year that the cowboys have actively removed Garrett from any game planning and playcalling responsibilities and the results are evident

This is linehan and marinelli

Garrett is just the trainee puppet

Get used to it

Why are you comparing JG to Fisher only?

Why not compare JG to Harbaugh or Chip Kelly? Two coaches that actually took their teams to the playoffs their first year. They didn't need multiple 8-8 season processes to do so.

Because it does not serve OPs narrative

OP has been waiting over 3 years to create this thread

Lot of truth here.

Garrett is not involved in game planning? When did that happen? I've never heard that.

I guess it's because Fisher was supposed to be in the running for the Cowboys HC a few years back. Harbaugh and Kelly were not ever considered.
