I like the idea of cutting Randle on Monday and promoting Ryan Williams to the 53.

I like the idea of letting Murray go elsewhere at the end of the season to get his HUGE pay day, and us signing Peterson to a 2 year, 8 million dollar deal.

BigD5 has also been reporting Peterson will play in Dallas in 2015. And it won't be a huge contract either. Probably $2-$3M per

I wouldnt give big money to a 30 Y/O running back, dont care who it is.

I think everyone is assuming its low money. I'm not sure if there isn't still a market for him though. Chris Johnson tricked someone to giving him decent money.

CJ got 2 years 8/9 million total (depending on if incentives kick in) and that is the ballpark I see AP getting. I think it is a nice contract compared to what Murray's will be. Much better, yet the quality of player is the same if not better.

AP isn't suspended for lack of talent. He was still a high performing RB before all the controversy. And now he will have less wear/tear due to the paid vacation they gave him.

I too am afraid of the thirty year mark in a high preforming running back.

Any deal for AP would have to be low base salary, extremely incentive-laden, with a backup that we feel comfortable with starting in a pinch.

I know I may get stoned for this conspiracy but here me out, What are the chances of calling someone who hands the phone to Jerry Jones and then telling Jerry you want to be a Cowboy a major PR nightmare takes place that allows you to leave a place that would have never let you go but do to the terrible things you did got you released( presumably) and you end up on a team you wanted to go to again ( presumably)

Adrian Peterson is still the best running back in the NFL, I don't care how old he is. There is only a 2 year difference in age between Peterson and Murray and Peterson will have sat out this entire year. As hard as it is for some of you to believe, Adrian Peterson is a far superior running back to Demarco Murray.

If Murray may be able to run for 2k AP can get 3k even with 30.

Id sign him to a 1 year deal just to get us to the SB.

AP vs Murray aint no competition.

Peterson's the rare back I'd make an age exception for, and even so, I'd want him on a fairly measured contract where he gets paid a lot each season, but his falling off a cliff doesn't kill your cap. He's a physical freak, though, and would be a huge upgrade to Murray. And I like Murray a lot, too.
That said, I think MIN would be crazy to cut him. They might, because they've got a stupid contract on him, but I'd expect them to adjust that in the offseason and get past his off-field problems if they possibly can.

That's yet to be determined. AP is stressed out at home while we see what Demarco is doing. Cowboys would be fools to ASSUME that a 31 year old AP will be as good as a 27 Demarco. Not saying its not right. After coming back from his ACL injury like he did I won't pretend to predict his future. But at the end of the day he's still a running back over 30. And that's my point on CJ. If CJ in a down year and clear decline got 2 years 8 million......who's to say AP won't want more? OR can't get more for that matter? I'm sure the Jets or Raiders wouldn't mind giving him more.
