Knew we needed to bring Pellerin up, but I'm not sure it made sense to risk Coleman to waivers when we're still carrying an extra offensive tackle.

I wonder if it had anything to do with Hills having a guaranteed salary as a vet?

This really sucks. This guy is needed depth, and he's got potential to be a DL starter in a year or two. Hate this.

Wonder why we're stashing the OT, too.

I don't like it. I don't know why they are hanging on to 30 year old OT Tony Hills. I thought Hills would be the cut. Coleman is a young player with upside.

They signed Hills after the game 1 which would make his salary non-guaranteed.

I don't know if Pellerin is that much better of an option than just using Hamilton as the emergency 4th CB.

I'm guessing they feel better about their current depth at DT than at OT if a starter went down.

They must have a tackle eligible play in there for Hills they're planning to bust out soon.

Hamilton must be doing nothing positive in practice. I surely thought he would have taken Spillmans spot by now. And like you said, even with the Patmon injury, he still can't get called up.

When did we pick up Hills? Can we even drop him yet?

But either way Davon Coleman is another one of the many late round/undrafted guys that got way too much hype for no apparent reason. He's a dime a dozen DT. No reason to be upset here.

When Free got injured.

As a veteran free agent that was signed during the season, there is no reason that they can't cut Hills.

Wasn't Hills brought in after game 1, so no guaranteed pay there.
Had to on roster before game one to get vet guaranteed money.

Exactly! Why keep Hills on the squad over Coleman! Makes little sense to me.

Wow, well all our OT's have had some kind of injury or another but Coleman? He has kinda disappeared though.. Not a happy camper right now...

Would be a mild shock if he makes it through waivers.

Mick and Brod talked about it yesterday and thought Coleman was the most likely candidate. If he gets signed, we really have issues if we can't replace his depth next season on the roster.

He was signed off of the dolphins practice squad.....I'm not exactly sure of the rules since they've changed a bunched, but I know you are obligated to pay a guy for a certain amount of weeks once you pull him from another team's practice squad.

What the exact rule is and if it still applies to Hills....I'm not sure.

Should of let go of Hill, I hope nobody claims him but I doubt it he has good upside even started a few games in preseason and played a lot beginning of regular season, I really hope he makes it unclaimed but we needed the spot.
