Am I the only one not completely sold on him being a legit #2? Considering the attention being shown to Dez and the run game by every team I think this guy should be good for 5-7 catches a game but sometimes he seems like a nonfactor.

I'm sold. I'm a huge fan of his, but the guy has to figure out how to use his hands to catch the football consistently .

I'm sold. He's just a young player going through some consistency problems. He started out hot and has cooled down since. He needs to start winning his matchups.

Im sold. Im just not sold on the schemes to get players the ball in this offense.

what would you do different? our players are not getting open a lot(beasley being the exception),our Oline has masked a lot of those concerns, sometimes you need to win one on one battles.

5 to 7 a game is unrealistic. Not enough balls to go around. Just catch the ones thrown his way. Which he is doing.

i guess i will blame the running game..but yeah was expecting more this year. he hit that rookie wall hard last year

I dont know what happened to him lately but he was out playing dez for most the sesson until the last few weeks. I like twill and I think he can be a really good reciever.

You have to be kidding!

(why do I even respond to this) smh

He needs to get it together. He's also a little OLDER than the normal 2nd year player

Motion, trips-bunch formations, for starters. With all of his speed, getting a step right out of the gate could make him really difficult to cover.

He needs to get stronger and learn how to get off the jam better but I think he'll get it down and get more consistent. We have a lot of options in this offense and it'll come back to him eventually.

I don't think Romo trust him.....much like Troy did not trust Harper. He is a body catcher....which makes him vulnerable to have someone knock the ball down or step in front of him. When you do not attack the ball in the air (like Dez)...the QB will not give you "chances". Because of this offense.....you have to be physically superior than your opppnent...and when Romo looks over and sees you getting manhandled...like he was against Antonio Cromartie....the QB will not bother wasting his time looking at you the rest of the day. If we had a passing attack that "schemed" people open...he would be fine....but on this team...you have to "beat" your man

i couldn't see whether he was open or not, but i am concerned that there doesn't seem to be much of an effort to get him the ball more.

Pre-game Drew Pearson said he was better than Alvin Harper and compared him to his teammate Tony Hill. Thinks he's more than a #2.

I made the EXACT comparison of Hill and was skewered, as usual.

IMO, Williams needs to find a way to run better routes to get more separation, and yes, use his hands more instead of his body, and he needs to do it quick (as in the remainder of the season) or the FO needs to look at alternatives in the offseason.

Can't spent another season, next year, hoping he can do it consistently, because God-forbid, if Dez were to go down, I just don't think Williams would help all that much without improvement.
