He a fine #2. Nothing more nothing less.

There are #2 WRs who could be #1s, and their are #2 WRs we really should be #3s. He is just a #2....

Example #2 WRs who could be #1 WR are Golden Tate, Alshon Jeffrey, Randall Cobb, Desean Jackson (or is it Pierre Garcon?), Boldin (or is it Crabtree?), etc

This may seem like a silly question....but does he use the same gloves that Odell Beckum Jr. uses?

Am I the only one not completely sold on him being a legit #2? Considering the attention being shown to Dez and the run game by every team I think this guy should be good for 5-7 catches a game but sometimes he seems like a nonfactor.

He'll get stronger and be able to deal with physical DBs.

On a more serious note, he doesn't use his size the way you would expect him to. I don't expect him to be Dez, but at 6'2 210, I would like him to be more physical, however, the kid is 25 and only in his second season.

I don't think Romo trust him.....much like Troy did not trust Harper. He is a body catcher....which makes him vulnerable to have someone knock the ball down or step in front of him. When you do not attack the ball in the air (like Dez)...the QB will not give you "chances". Because of this offense.....you have to be physically superior than your opppnent...and when Romo looks over and sees you getting manhandled...like he was against Antonio Cromartie....the QB will not bother wasting his time looking at you the rest of the day. If we had a passing attack that "schemed" people open...he would be fine....but on this team...you have to "beat" your man

Romo my understanding was on board with drafting Williams. He knew he was a body catcher. Williams simply wasn't open and timing was off due to corners aggressiveness. I agree, Romo seeing Williams bounced around he didn't make a risky throw. Kudos to Romo. Williams get stronger.

Good thread. I was just thinking today that he has been MIA for a month.

This...always this! I would enjoy him being a bit more physical but otherwise he will be a factor as the Cowboys continue. Beasley surprised last night and I'm sure Giants fans and coaches alike were wondering just who the hell he was after that TD catch and run.

I have been wondering about the under-utilization of Beasley throughout the season. Why not's to like?

Well they are all well down the order of importance, but I would say I want to see more of Escobar really. Beasley and TWill are decent in their roles, but I don't see them being able to do more at this point.

Rather see a thread about Escobar, who I have a feeling could handle a much larger role in this offense.

Let's hope Williams wearing the splint on his finger (tip of finger fractured) now won't affect him too much.

Agreed. He seems like a good #3 for this team (makes big plays occasionally; very occasionally- otherwise, he disappears). I don't think it's a lack of ability on his part. It has more to do with how this team/Romo operates on offense. Romo needs a consistent underneath option, close to the way Witten used to be. Beasley has shown what this role can offer to this team and qb. Think we could use a quality possession receiver to go along with #1 Dez, a la Kendall Wright or Jarvis Landry.

If you are going to transition frim Romo slinging the ball around to becoming a run first offense, somebody is going to have to sacrifice catches. It looks like that is Terrence Williams. There is only one ball to go around.

Well I will say, we do need someone to step up, whether its Beasley, TWill, or Escobar. One of them needs to be getting open cause we can't continue to count on Romo getting 8 secs to sit back there when we are playing better teams.

I still would take Escobar on earlier downs and Beasley on 3rd downs. TWill will have to find a way to get open or he will have to be replaced.

He's not a great option as a number 2. Like I said before in the past, he makes a great play every so often, but he is not consistent.

He is also not very aggressive at going to get the ball. He loves to let the ball come to him, and come into his body. He refuses to extend and use his hands consistently.

We are just lucky we have a great O-Line, a Patient Romo, and Dez who with time, can beat a double or triple team. Weather is by his size, or just escaping.

Williams see's 1 on 1 all day. Romo buys time, please tell me why he still has to wait for Dez to fight through a double team, and get open, in order for us to get a play made?

Laurent Robinson, when Romo bought time, and our O-Line was not this good, would find ways to get open. That is what we need.

Then when Romo does throw it to him, after maybe having slight separation from his man, he negates that, by not using his and aggressively going for the ball. Instead he waits on it, so it can hit him closer to his chest and cradle it like a baby. Well while he waits on in, instead of extending away from his body, now that little separation does not matter, now the DB is right there like "Hello". Incomplete

We need a true number 2, hell, even a competent WR who can use his hands. Not a guy who has made a living off of needing major plays, or play break downs to be a factor

Not sold. He's regressed the last 5 or 6 games. Zordon's right. He should be a bigger factor in this offense.
