Suh Suspended According to Schefter/Mort *Merged*

While I agree that Suh did this on purpose and it's dirty let's not try and compare stepping on a guys leg, uncomfortable as it might be, to stomping on a guys head/face multiple times.

They're not really even remotely the same in terms of the violence and the clear intent to do serious harm.

And this was not the 1st time Suh has done this and worse, sorry if you think it is ok. I don't and all the punishment the league has handed down to Suh has not stopped him one bit. He does not seem to get it maybe a year removed and the moron will get it. As I said I would just as soon see players end his fricken career and take his damn knees out and cripple the fool.

I am quite serious.

I really didn't think they would because he's a star defensive player, on a team in the playoffs trying to make noise.

I really figured they'd let him slide on this because of him being a star player about to play in the playoffs.

For a first time offense, maybe letting someone "slide" is OK, but not for a malcontent habitual offender. The league had no choice but to do something. I haven't seen Goddell lessen his punishment on repeat offenders. It just gets worse for them.

Haha so he's out or will play pending appeal?

His appeal is scheduled to be expedited and will be heard and ruled upon by Wednesday.

I see little chance of a repeat offender getting a reprieve.

Any benefit of the doubt has long since left town.

Awesome. This is great news

If it's true it would be a shame since you want to play a team at their best but I doubt Dallas will mind

Normally, I understand this perspective, at least. But in this case, this crazy-stupid is part of what you get with Suh. It's part of his 'game' to miss time for being a jackass. In this case, throw the book at the guy. He just cost himself a fortune in FA, which is even better. And probably put the referee crew for the Cowboys game on hyper-alert for cheap shots at Tony.

While this may be true to a certain extent, the problem is he stepped on Aaron Rodgers who is orders of magnitude more important to the NFL than Suh is.

Well they suspended him but he can appeal it and try to get a lesser penalty this week. They would respond within a day or 2 of the appeal. But man, after his past of doing stuff like this. I seriously doubt he can get it reduced to a fine. I feel confident he will be out against us. That would mean it is likely his last game as a Lion too.

Watch the tape and notice that the second time he steps on Rodgers' leg, he lifts his other foot off the ground to ensure that all of his weight was bearing down on the leg. It really was very obvious, IMO.

no doubt, his reaction is so unnatural.

You would think a player would be concerned about hurting his own ankle by stepping on something that could cause it to twist yet no reaction by Suh at all

I just walked across my kitchen barefoot and stepped on something slimy and cold and immediately recoiled and lifted my foot and looked to see what I stepped on, he knew what he stepped on thus why he didn't need to look or react

Suspend Suh

Aaron misses playoffs

Seatles 12th man has flu and missed game

ME NO CARE

lol

Same here... not my problem, we showed up to play. History won't remember all of the excuses. Bring on that 6th ring!

Interesting.

No where did I say it was okay.

But way to go way off and speculate to a completely wrong assumption.

Let's just hope the league doesn't decide to review the Scandrick incident.

I'd say the 'Scandrik Incident' was about as far from the Suh Incident as you can get. OS was sticking up for a player who got cheap-shotted. The league understands that and is going to allow it if he doesn't touch a ref or take it too far. Its part of the NFL Omertà that actually serves to keep incidents like this down. Player make other players pay heavy prices for cheap shots.

And I have zero issue with it.

I was just surprised is all.
