Good thing it happened to one of the protected class of QBs.

If it were Romo they'd probably fine him for tripping Suh lol

On another note - time to start punishing the team/mgmt when you have repeated instances with more than one player of illegal dirty play. Obviously this kind of thing is condoned and likely even encouraged by the brass there.

 And penalized Romo for throwing a punch like when Rodgers slapped his leg.

The pessimist in me thinks this is some dog and pony show with the NFL, dropping the hammer with the suspension and then reducing it to a fine on appeal to try and split the difference on this issue. But we shall see.
Of further interest, article on Suh suspension over at Blogging the Boys reports that the other Dt Fairley is injured and may not be able to play the game either. That would leave a crater in that team's defensive middle. Based on those two being their most dominant players, if out, they may not even be able to run their defense as they normally would.

Someone needs to tell Suh that it's the Texas Two Step, not the Michigan Two Step.

They'll hear the appeal this week, sure, but they won't hand down a decision until after he plays us. Then, if the Lions advance, they'll uphold the suspension so he sits out against Seattle and Wilson. Heck, they may extend it to two games to keep him off the field against Green Bay and Rodgers.

His appeal is scheduled to be expedited and will be heard and ruled upon by Wednesday.

I see little chance of a repeat offender getting a reprieve.

Any benefit of the doubt has long since left town.

Yep - too many factors involved.

The scrutiny the league is currently.
His past actions.
He stepped on one of the premiere players in the NFL who took exception to it.
Rodgers already had an injury on that leg - coincidence?

There is no way they can retract it.
