with 6 teams looking for a HC, would you entertain the idea of trading Jason Garrett? Last year Cleveland tried to trade for Harbaugh so isnt a unrealistic scenario....lastly what kindve draft picks could we get?

Can't even play a playoff game, and people want to trade our HC, have Marinelli going to TB.
What's next on the dismantling of this team that finally has shown progress and got into the playoffs by playing very well.

I wouldn't, unless some team offers something ridiculous.

I thought you were gonna ask which current coaches we would trade Garrett straight up for. If you consider age, staff and everything, I don't think it's an easy question.

I wouldn't, not now that he has his vision of the team established, unless some team offers something ridiculous.

I'm not advocating to trade Garrett, just wondering what we could get for him? lets say a team like the Raiders offer us 2 1st rounders.

You know things have gone real well for the Cowboys this season when you see a thread about trading Jason Garrett.

Win-win for the team if another club was dumb enough to pay for him.

so, how on God's green earth can the team FINALLY show progress, has a home playoff game, and yet we get threads like this and those about marinelli changing locations, who we can get to replace them, etc....

let's play the **** playoff game first...my God, it is painful to come into this forum sometimes...people aren't going to be happy no matter what happens

A team would have to be dumb to trade for a coach who's only had one good season after 3 consecutive 8-8 seasons. Prior to this season Garrett was ranked near the bottom of NFL head coaches. He's done a terrific job this season but it's only one season some are getting a little too carried away which is the norm here.

then why bring it up...stupid idea...I can never get the two minutes back in my life after reading this...he is worth nothing in a trade since they aren't trading him, and why this is on your mind is just astounding, is that clear enough? Why don't you ask what they can get for Tony, or Ty Smith? Fred? Martin?

It's not a realistic enough of a scenario to even have a discussion over in my opinion. We might as well ask what it would take to trade for Luck and stash him as our backup until Romo retires.

But to semi-answer the question, I think coaches must have either taken a team to a Super Bowl or have a real resonating personality (a Rex Ryan, Jon Gruden type) to garner trade interest.
