All-Pro Team announcement thread; Six Cowboys **Merged**

We've got to get some names from the other side of the ball on this list.

I thought there was a slight chance Crawford would get a little love but perhaps next year is his year. He's played pretty well for a guy that wasn't sure what position he was going to play this year.

I thought that was odd, too. It's not even about having Witten as all-pro. It's the fact they couldn't find no other TE in the entire NFL worthy besides Gronk.
Well, they don't vote for second: each voter picks only one guy. It's hard to imagine anybody picking any other TE over Gronk.

11 DEs received votes, with Watt and Mario Williams leading the way.

fwiw, zero votes for Ware.

I don't think they select one TE or multiple ones. Gronk was a unanimous selection this year so no one else can make 2nd team. If there were two unanimous picks for guard then only two guards would make the team; both 1st team.

Scandrick probably deserves some votes on defense but he's in a tough category.

Yes, the process is goofy, such that 2nd-team means nothing. As Percy said, suppose one stoned writer picked, say, Charles Clay instead of Gronk at TE. Clay would be second-team, then, even if none of the writers who picked Gronk first would have picked Clay second.

Yeah. it's so much more difficult to get All-Pro vs Pro Bowl.
I mean, if you only get to pick 2 corners in the entire league (NFC and AFC combined) it'd be real hard to pick Orlando as one of the two.

What an amazing achievement by these guys. All deserving.

It will make it even more strange when Zack Martin doesn't win the Rookie of the Year award. I completely anticipate it going to Odell Beckham. But, how can Martin make both the Pro Bowl and the All-Pro team, the only rookie to do so, and not win the award? He was truly the best rookie all season long.

Agreed. But he is not an ESPN Highlight type player so it will go to the Flashy OBJ.
