All-Pro Team announcement thread; Six Cowboys **Merged**

2 observations: Dan Bailey not being being 1st team all pro is just wrong. No Defensive AP's in Big D.

Vinatieri was perfect this year. Cowboys fans only look at Bailey and don't seem to realize there are other great kickers. Stephen Gostowski for the Patriots had a better case than Bailey since he only missed 2 kicks.

Uhm, I do realize there are other great kickers / players, but Bailey was a weapon this year and has been for 4 years.

As points of clarification:
- Adam missed a kick this year in the 40-49 range and only attempted 3 kicks outside of 50 making all three.
- Stephen missed two kicks this year 1 in the 30-39 range and 1 in the 40-49 range and only attempted 1 kick outside of 50 making it.
- Dan missed 4 kicks this year in 1 in the 30-39 range, 1 the 40-49 range and 2 in the +50 range and unlike the other 2 was trusted enough to attempt 7 kicks outside of 50 making 5. What is also forgotten is that 2 of the 4 misses Bailey had were blocked kicks. So yeah, I can legitimately argue Bailey should be #1 without being a Cowboys Homer.

You can make the argument, but it's not particularly compelling.

Vinatieri made 30 of 31 FGs. Gostkowski made 35 of 37. Bailey made 25 of 29. The others beat Bailey on volume (by 20 and 40%, respectively) and percentage, even if you leave out Bailey's blocks. And of course Vinatieri didn't miss at all until the meaningless last game of the season. Yes, you can dig into the details and make a case (my argument against Vinatieri is that he doesn't kick off, but then again, Bailey's kickoffs are nothing special), but picking the others over Bailey is perfectly reasonable.

Dang, see what happens when you spend 1 st round picks on O linemen. Three picks, three pro bowlers. Thats sweet. It all starts up front and we have the best up front group in the business. We can play with anyone.

I have been clamoring for the longest time for the Cowboys to invest in the offensive line. It's great to see that it has paid HUGE dividends. :)

What did they not get right this go around?

Romo

Not sure if Smith is all pro but the Cow OL has gotten a lot of hype.

Dez Nryant was all pro Jacksonville on but prior to that... Pedestrian for his talent level

So All Pro is a popularity contest because you don't agree with the people selected?

Dez Bryant lead the league in Touchdowns.
Aaron Rodgers had 38 TD's and 5 interceptions....
The Cowboys offensive line has gotten well deserved hype. They've ran and shut down some very solid defensive lines.
