Is it just me, or is the media hyping GB?

Tell me what im missing. Is it me or has the media just completely hyped up GB to be this unbeatable team? Sure their numbers look good, and their defense looks decent, but look a little deeper. They played Seattle and lost then got beat by Detroit. They have two good wins all year. Philly and New England. Other than that they have the softest schedule in the NFL. Bears and Vikes twice each. Jets, Dolphins, Bucs, Bills, Falcons, Panthers, Saints,

This team has a great QB, but he could be on one leg, . They have two very good WR's and a decent RB.. What else???? Why are they so unbeatable? I can't wait until we shut everyone up this weekend!!!!

From what I've seen more than half of the media are picking Dallas. I haven't seen any of this "unbeatable team" stuff you are indicating that you are seeing.

It's two 12-4 teams, both very good. Lots of divergent opinions.

I don't think it is just the media. I give teams their dues and GB is a top NFL contending team. However I like the match up, I think of the 2 Dallas is the more physical team and I think Dallas will wear them down. Defense we have issues, we give up a lot of yards but we are also one of the top teams in creating turnovers.

i dont think they be hyped to be unbeatable. Broncos and Patriots are the ones beink hyped and stuff.

I don't see anyone hyping them up as unbeatable.

But it's a fact that they are tough to beat in Green Bay, where they play their best ball.

There have been games this year when the Packers have scored on seven consecutive drives, or their first five drives of the game and whatnot. When Rodgers is right, they make it look easy.

However, the Packers best win this season was New England at home. Dallas' was Seattle on the road. And the Packers have had games lately that they've struggled.

It's going to be a tight game, and I expect Dallas to play well.

Yup and for some reseason GB feel the same way about us...odd I must say.

In the Regular season they are tough but have you seen their playoff record at Lambeau? It is not very good.

I'd rather have the media hype the Packers up versus the media hyping up the Cowboys.

I think it's more like 20-25% picking Dallas.

I just saw 8 picks and 1 was for Dallas.
Another was 1 of 2
Anyway, it's not 50-50, that's for sure....nor should it be.

Update...
I did just notice that on ESPN...you are right! 7 of 14 pick Dallas
On CBS Sports, it's only 1 of 8...but the ESPN picks are impressive.

Eh let them be favored. They look to be the better team anyway.

But that's why they play the game

On NFL Radio, it's been pretty even keel. Not that more (or even half) of people are picking Dallas, but there seems to be a common theme that people believe it's certainly a winnable game for Dallas but are giving Green Bay a slight edge due to their recent accomplishments and home field advantage. I think that's an honest take on the game and matchup.

I think they are hyping up the game being in GB and all the old ice bowl, weather advantage crap.
So it seems they are hyping GB as more of a favorite, and which they should be. They got 2nd seed, though due to a tie breaker, and are at home.

I think if we had the game at home, we would be favored slightly.

GB is a darling, and they always get hype when they're playing home playoff games. That's just part of the narrative in the NFL. I prefer it that way for this team, though. We seem to do well in that underdog role. Or maybe it's just that we've been in the underdog role a lot this season and have happened to do well. Either way, GB's got more recent skins on the wall than we do; they deserve the coverage they're getting. It's our job to take away that spotlight.

Yes indeed. Let everyone keep picking the pack and let the Cowboys feel disrespected. The team always plays better when it's like that. Besides, Dallas was off last week and they always come back the following week with a strong showing when they don't play great.

GB is in for a fight. Unfortunate for GB because Dallas is the one team where it just might not matter that they're playing in Lambeau and that the weather is cold.

:hammer:

I see more people giving Dallas a chance to win. The one that they are hyping up as "unbeatable" is Seattle because I haven't heard of anyone giving Carolina a chance. But I've heard a few people picking Dallas to win.

Playing in GB will be difficult with Rodgers under center and a lot of people respect that. (The Media)

I would love to play Denver...anytime...any place. I truly believe Baltimore is the only team with a chance of keeping New England out of the Super Bowl.

Are you saying the hype he is talking about is really just his hyperbole?

:D

you are a smart mans but i do not agree about the Ravens. but i would love to play Denver. I feel Denver is overrated and the Pats are underrated.

If i am a disinterestedness fan i would say Green Bay vs. New England in the Superbowl.
My heart say to me, "Gimmie, wise landlord, it will be Dallas vs. New England." That make me worried.
