How did you react when they overturned the Dez catch?

My good friend texted me a photo from where he was - Mile High stadium where they had the game on the jumbo tron. He said almost EVERYONE started boo-ing saying we were robbed on that play and it was BS. Interesting.... not the reason we lost imo but just interesting that there weren't that many "hater's" in Denver at least.

Before the call was announced I posted in the gameday thread that the refs were gonna make up for last week so I wasn't really shocked when they called it how they did. I just sat there in silence.

My wife was worried about me for a bit.

I almost...almost broke our coffee table...restrained myself...then looked at the wall...made a fist..

then i restrained myself again.

i'm very proud of myself... no mess to clean up ...no furniture destroyed.

not sure that would of been the case twenty years ago.

Ask my neighbors.

I shrugged. I knew what the call was going to be because I've been watching the NFL for a good while. Common sense dictates that he had possession, the rule book dictates that it was incomplete.

Something like: !@$#%!@#$!@#$%@!#%.........!!!!!!!!$#******@%^#$^#$&

Although knowing the absurd standards the NFL has for completing a catch while falling to the ground, deep down I was expecting them to overturn it. I was just really hoping they'd see that Dez had done enough by the time he was extending his arms out to consider that a catch.

Amen to that............
I had to tell myself it is out of your hands and you are basically powerless even over a cruddy situation. After throwing more than one remote against the wall over the years I can say I am proud of myself.

I wasn't surprised, after last week I knew that any call that could go either way, wasn't going to be in the Cowboys favor.

I was sure it was a catch, even after seeing the bounce at the end when Dez lunged for the endzone like he does all the time. It looked like he had already caught the ball and secured it to his hand and forearm and was just making that football move dive to the endzone. But then it did cross my mind that Dez put the game in the official's hands when he did that. I was 100% sure it would not get overturned that I was already thinking about the D trying to stop GB on the next possession. But with the way officials have taken over games now, you just never know. Hindsight says that Dez should have not gotten greedy and just secured the catch and fallen there at the one, especially with it being on 4th down

And then I thought to myself, why did we try for the whole enchilada right there, time is on our side, we are rolling, OL being able to get those tough yards on short yardage, and then instead go for it all on that 4th down play with over 5 minutes to go. Was not confident on the D stopping them from a FG.

As I've said before, thank God I don't bet on games anymore with these refs------it really is gambling. Looking back, thats a lot of crap that ran through my mind in seconds.

Lions got robbed also.

I was happy about it, and didn't Care. Just like half the fans.

It happens. No need for anyone to feel any type of way over the call.

My voice is gone, two shoes still laying across the living room, my 5 yr old daughter is scared of me, my 9 month old boy thinks I'm funny, my friends that texted me are probably no longer my friends, my dog won't come out of her dog house, my work cell is missing, I felt like a could take on an army, full of rage, and I'm pretty sure my big toe is broke.

I'm still not done either. I've been banished to our bedroom ..and my wife is being a champ about it. Better get her something nice.

lmao!!

I was watching a Packers fan chat room, while in the Cowboys chat room and every single Packer fan said it was a catch. Now everyone is changing their tune.

I think we might be related.

I was completely confident GB had just wasted their last time out. Completely astonished when I heard the reversal. After watching it over and over I still feel it was a catch. Just another gut-wrenching call for us to stick in our caps though. In the end, that's all it will ever be.

Cursed and yelled.. Almost cried.. Wanted to put my fist through a door but knew it would've been stupid to have done that.

When I saw they were going to review the play I turned off the TV, put my phone on silent, and left the room. I didn't even see the replay. I knew they were going to overturn it. A few minutes later I turn on my sports app on my phone and saw where it was GB's ball at the 2-minute warning. So after the catch I didn't see the rest of the game. I'm 52 years old and I've been following the Cowboys since SB V so I've seen a lot of gut wrenching plays. I wasn't in the mood today to see this.
