I still don't see how they can conclusively say the ball hit the ground. His hand was under it and it didn't jump up till his forearm hit it, and after that didn't touch the ground either

The phrase forward progress was not uttered in Deans explanantion...??

and "Understand Please" ? Youve been waiting on this havent you?

No one understands the rule, and the people that say they do, are getting paid to understand it. Even they don't understand it!!!!

Dean, is this you?

first sentence out of his mouth.

"The key here is the head lines judge winding the clock as.......FORWARD PROGRESS.......is determined stopped in the field of play"

I dont think so either. Yeah we was stumbling....he jumped pretty high. I mean, just stop for a second and admire what a freaking beatiful catch that really was....

but i think Dez stumbles and bumbles his way into the Endzone. and when he realized he wasnt going to make it.

He dove for it....he dove for the Goal line.

Which as we know is a football move. The Dez video shows hom making the catch with possession - two steps - then tripped - another step and a lunge. After all that the ball touches the ground (while still in Dez's hand), then after he rolls over it pops up and he secures it again in the end zone.

My god that is a catch like 4 times!

Blandino was saying he determined forward progress was stopped not a whistle was blown or it was called on the field. Nice try

the ref was running up pointing at the ground...keeping the clock moving. he didn't care that the receiver dropped the ball or even went out of bounds. He didn't even look at the receiver.

What seems most likely. He called forward progress insanely fast, but it negated anything to do with control of the ball through a fall or whatever.

Trying to bolster the Dez argument with this doesn't work

Yeah the ref called it a catch for Dez too. Blandino upheld one because there was no indisputable way to reverse it. There isn't on Dez either. The fact that he and everyone is still giving their "I think" on it proves that.

The call on the field should have stood and Blandino knows it. His explanations and contradictions prove that.

I think these are slightly different because gresham was more upright / standing on the ground.... So they ruled he had possession at that point. Dez never really caught his balance like gresham. While I do think the dez play was a catch I think these two plays are different.

Correct...they are different

Gresham dropped the ball........Dez didn't

It's so simple.

Did Dez catch the ball? Of course he did. 100 percent of the planet says so.

But there's this strange rule that exists for some reason nobody understands. It's got gray area all around it.

The rule will get scrapped this offseason and re-written. But it won't help Dallas last Sunday.

What bothers me is the cover up. The NFL sided with Detroit the week before, saying a penalty should have been called, even though the penalty they say should have been called was different than the one they picked up the flag on. They did not go into denial and spin mode. They even, with the help of their media pals like Adam Schefter, made public another call that went against the Lions, while quietly telling the Cowboys later in the week they blew 7 calls for us in the Lions game.

They allowed the impression that they were favoring the Cowboys to fester all week. you cannot convince me that was not a factor when New York was conferring with Steratore on reversing a call that had no business being reversed.

But we don't get an admission here that at least the call was not indisputable. They can't admit they completely wrecked a classic game. No, they back up this BS 100 percent and anyone who says differently is off the reservation.

When you take a guy out in the stripper bus, and he gets busted, he's compromised forever more.

Fire him.

Dez lunged towards the endzone. If that is not a football move, nothing is.

NFL wants Seattle in the SB. Dallas is a bad match-up for Seattle, an obvious catch by Dez was called not a catch. What a joke. .

Should have been fired then.

Jerrah does have some shenanigans with the NFL honchos, but obviously rigging victories for us isn't one of them.

...AND IT WAS OVERTURNED!

After all the analysis, examples and comparisons and just the common sense eye test, it was overturned, so I gotta ask. If there is sketchy evidence either for or against a catch how the hell was there indisputable evidence to overturn it? In fact, what is indisputable about this entire play other than the fact he clearly caught the ball.

The whole thing is a disgrace -- I just don't know anymore. Where's the stripper bus, I need a drink,

In my entire football watching life, I have never seen someone go up for a ball with 2 hands, and pull one of them away if he didn't have it. Instinct alone tells you that if you do not have the ball to reach for it with both hands. On top of this, Dez spun towards the goal line. If he didn't have the football secured how could he do that and take a hand away?

Dumbest call I have ever seen. I do however, agree with Jason Garrett, we did not lose the game because of the Refs.
