Do the math in your head. You're saying he was more horizontal than vertical...That's not the case at all. The opposite is true.

His 3rd step is off because he was tripped.
Like I said, biased whiners.

The real argument is the football move. The rest is nonsense that cheapens the debate.

Per the rule, it's the attempt to break the plane that matters, not whether it actually breaks the plane. Pereira and Blandino do not think he was lunging or reaching out thereby engaging in an attempt to break the plane.

"Do not think" is not indisputable. That's the outrage

To play devil's advocate, Blandino does say Gresham must come down with two feet BEFORE contact from the defender, which he did. Dez was contacted in mid air and practically throughout the process. I still think it was a catch but this ruling doesn't really match up either.

yeah i picked that up too.

Bu they are really, ...................really ..................really stretching with that,.

Its almost like they are "Searching" for Anything.....in order to justify their decision. I mean, these guys had to go way way ...way over reasonable thought, to over turn that play.

but they did. and someone should be fired for it. The game isn't about THEM.

Sadly, if the Packers get a Lomardini trophy -- and i half never been a asteriks guy -- that team will need one forever. We know it, the NFL know it and Bob Dole know it. The whole world no it. As i half said thrice and three times already, worst-case scenario, is we get the ball at the one-half yard line. (well, in truth if half said the 1.5-yard-line, but after review, meine earlier comments are overturned and we should half 1st and goal at the half-yard line)

We was robbed and we are the victims. the players will take their millions despite the loss but we as fans are the true victims in all this.
Fix.

I agree that they went way over reasonable doubt. There's no way they should've overturned it. Especially when 95% of fans think Dez reached for the goal line which constitutes a football move, and Blandino and Steratore didn't, there is reasonable doubt that they missed.

It really shouldn't have been open to interpretation by those jokers. The call was made on the field and it is that referee's call that is supposed to stand, unless something in the video evidence provides definitive proof that his judgment was incorrect. Nobody in the NFL media is saying that, they are just assuming these fools in New York can make their own judgment with "well I think..."

Criminal.

There was a screen cap of the tangled legs. That was the only thing that kept him from cruising into the endzone.

I think -- and it's not completely clear -- but I think what he is saying is that he was only falling to the ground after the catch because of the contact. If you're not falling to the ground and you have two feet in bounds with control, it's a complete pass. But if you're falling to the ground while securing control of the ball, control has to be maintained throughout the process.

This is exactly what he was saying and why the two plays are totally different.

Don't worry , Seattle will beat packers in the NFC championship. There must have been a collective sigh of relief after the ruling in Seattle.

Co-incidentally I ran into a couple of perfect strangers at Hoover dam , Seattle fans saying "go Seahawks" , I countered " Go Cowboys" , they were dumbfounded a bit and acknowledged we are a good team and we wished each other best. It would have been epic for the boys to meet Seattle in championship game , got robbed of the chance, but should have taken care of business before! Damn Demarco had to fumble ... And D to lay eggs !

There's certainly contact there on the legs. Whether it was enough to impede his progress I dont think anyone can say without a doubt.

From the other angle that 'leg contact' isn't as 'certain' as it appears in this one.
It is likely there was some contact, but it's slight and uncertain.

I disagree. He went down due to contact

The trip made the fall happen easier and faster. If he had not made contact after turning and running, he'd have made it to the end zone without question.
