I don't really see what the big deal is. If you mess up in life and you want a 100 million dollar contract to do something, I would expect any employer to be very wary on how you are going to handle that money. Dez is a young man with a really messed up childhood. Has he matured? I believe he has, but would I bet 100 million dollars that he has, that I don't know.

There is a video out that has been known for a long time featuring Dez's mother (regardless of how long ago it was). Based on that video alone I would have questions, throw in all the other garbage that has happened, there are tons of red flags.

Dez is a fantastic player, but in the NFL you have to have the maturity to handle your money and fame. Thus far Dez has not shown the ability.

I have no problem with the Cowboys releasing any information on Dez. If it was just one thing like sagging your pants at the mall I would be more sympathetic, but it is the totality of the actions you have to take into consideration.

If the Cowboys do franchise Dez and he is angry about it too bad. If he is angry enough to try and ruin the team then I would not ever want him on my team (if I were the Cowboys). And it would show that he wasn't mature enough to handle the NFL and everything that comes with it.

Stephen A Smith made a good point that none of this blew up when the Cowboys were in the playoffs but only when it's time to pay Dez. That said I don't think Jerry would drag his superstar through the mud like that.

Not really. Schefter stated he had been working on since September so you presume it could have gotten out any time during the season.

Bob Sturm:I am all against poor journalism, but from the get-go, there has been massive amounts of leaks out of Valley Ranch on Dez for it to be made up by the Insiders of this league. The Cowboys, it seems, had an issue with the player and wanted the public to know what they were dealing with so they leak stuff out. This is pretty routine in sports, and again, as much as I would like to blame others for this, it surely appears this one was given to them by the organization. By the way, that very likely won’t ever allow for the franchise and the player to be great friends in the future.

Condon might not being doing that but RocNation is playing a part in this including the negotiations. I am leery of Jay Z influence on Dez and I'm also concerned Dez letting his emotions get the better of him. Watching the difference between how Murray is dealing with negotiations and how Dez is dealing with it does show some immaturity on the part of Dez
