Actor Harrison Ford suffered gashes to the head after a small plane he was piloting crash landed at an L.A. golf course Thursday, TMZ reported.

The entertainment website reported that Ford, 72, was piloting what appeared to be a vintage 2-seater plane when something went wrong and the plane crashed into Penmar golf course in Venice, California.

Ford reportedly suffered multiple gashes to the head and was bleeding when two nearby doctors at the golf course rushed over to treat the actor.

Poor man.

He had that serious injury on the Star Wars set & now this.

Thankfully he is going to be ok.
 
What a great thing for his publicist and/or agent.

The legend of toughguy 'Harrison Ford' just grew and grew.
 
LIES!!! Some one sabotaged this plane. There is no way that Han Solo would crash!!!

from what i read, he's actually crashed several times.

i'd not let him fly my plane!!! well, if i had one.
 
Pretty crazy to almost lose Han Solo right after Spock.

A little about his earlier crashes...

In an interview with The Daily Mail in 2010, Harrison Ford said crashing a plane is like “scraping your bumper.” He recalled a smaller crash: “One time when I was landing I got caught in a dramatic wind shear, which resulted in about $9,000 worth of damage. That’s small change. But it was a troubling couple of minutes. I’ve had other weather-induced misadventures. I got caught in a microburst (a sudden downdraught) in my helicopter - I ended up doing an aeronautical rodeo. I was OK, but it gave me the opportunity to buy a new helicopter.”

He has had three crashes but none due to pilot error. He flies old planes and those can have numerous problems. Supposedly, he is one of the best non-military trained helicopter pilots out there.

But, as I suspected, Chewbacca was the true pilot of the Falcon :laugh:
 
He's a great ambassador for general aviation, which has put food on my table for 13 years. Hope he's alright.
