So who’s left in free agency?

Per PFT’s rankings, here are the top 12 unsigned players as of Sunday:

13) Panthers defensive end Greg Hardy.

32) 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree.

40) Ex-Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe.

41) Raiders center Stefen Wisniewski.

44) Bengals tight end Jermaine Gresham.

47) Packers cornerback Tramon Williams.

58) Saints cornerback Patrick Robinson.

61) Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts.

65) Bills inside linebacker Brandon Spikes.

70) Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain.

73) Falcons defensive end Kroy Biermann.

76) Patriots defensive tackle Vince Wilfork.

It would be surprising if all 12 remained unsigned come next week. Given the need for cornerbacks, Williams and Robinson seem especially solid candidates to find employment. Bowe, the Chiefs’ former top receiver, has already drawn interest from Cleveland.

In the longer term, it’s likely that we’ll look back and find that a handful of the 12 players listed turn out to be solid second-week signings — the type of performers that will make us wonder why they were unsigned for so long.

Now, we turn it over to PFT Planet. Which of these 12 unsigned players will prove the best second-wave signing of free agency? Vote in the poll and tell us in the comments.

Dont see Biermann as an option,if we dont sign Hardy than we probably are looking at the secondary.

What's it going to be then, eh?

That means Patrick Robinson. I was not prepared for this kind of talent influx. I might just homer out.

Crabtree over T-Will? As our number 2? Instant upgrade.

Crabtree isn't elite at all, but miles ahead of T-Will.

Cost too much. Sorry bro, no name players only.

I would debate adding a prima donna WR like Crabtree who adds nothing extra even if he were cheap.

He thinks he is elite and he is paid to catch passes. He does not block well, he does not play special teams.

I'd like to see what happens on the June 1st cuts.

Hardy is the only remaining potential difference maker on that list. Everyone else fills in for a player lost to keep the status quo. I doubt we spend big bucks in free agency, but I wouldnt be shocked to see a draft day trade for a player with one of our top 3 picks if we dont like the draft value. Draft picks are at a premium on draft day.

I actually agree with this, but the point i was making is that since he is a named player, we probably won't look at him.

Tramon Williams was one of the best man-to-man corners in the game before last season. I would absolutely take him and designate Carr June 1st.
