That's awesome. I love that office. The cluttered bulletin board with on point random crap on it looks like something we'd use. Kitty and all. Looks like someone did a quick and dirty photoshop on the whiteboard.

Could have been he already knew where TB was willing to go and it was not as far as the Boys would go.

It's conjecture by both of us.

Um the cowboys were only bidding against themselves. When will people realize.

I think this is a really great deal for both parties. If people do not see the absolute genius in the structure of this deal then there is nothing I can do for you. Great job here!

Whether it is a good deal or not depends on what your goals where when entering the negotiation and what was possible once you did.

If the goal was to lock up a big time pass rusher (taking some risk in doing it) to a long term deal when the team has Potentially the most leverage. Which would have been my goal, then I don't like it.

If the goal was to get his services next year at the best deal you could with little risk and then take you chance in 2016, then it is a good deal. Not my choice, but if it was the goal not a bad deal.

What we don't know is what was possible based on both parties goals (short/ long term) and what that may have looked like.

yea

what part am I wrong about. Lets see after next off season who has no clue

You are acting as if Dallas unilaterally decided the terms. Both sides wanted something - Dallas, protection against Hardy going Gonzo during the year, Hardy, a contract paying him as a elites pass rusher. The parties both gave and protected themselves; Dallas does not have guarantees against the cap, Hardy is a FA next year.

And you know this how?

You already answered it.

He already knew that TB was not interested. That is why he never even went there or anywhere else.

It was conjecture and I could take both side of the argument because there are no facts that could prove either position wrong at this point.

If you zoom in on the laminated card Hardy is holding, I swear it looks like a listing of player names and their phone numbers.
