What do you do if Lawerence comes out hot at RDE?

Possibly, but it hasn't helped as much in the past. Remember when we got punished for not breaking the law and colluding?

big difference here is that Doty always rules for the players against the NFL. So your point is not supportable.

Thus leading to my conundrum where we could easily have two guys we want to play RDE. DLaw might be that guy, but he did get two sacks, including a sack, strip, fumble recovery to end a game, in his last two games... things are almost certainly looking up for him.
There are differences between RDE and LDE in the base (5tech vs 7tech) but they're basically the same in the Nickel which is about 50% of the snaps.

You absolutely keep him on the weak side.

In our scheme the weakside defender does not have to worry as much about the run, just more of less has to get after the passer. If DLaw if flying off the ball and getting to the passer we keep him there and plug Hardy in at LDE, where I believe he would be a better fit for this team. His physicality and ability to set the edge as well as get up field to rush the passer would help every level of the defense. More so than DLaw on the strong side. Just my opinion.

Not sure if it was a Doty ruling... but isn't stopping NFL teams from colluding an issue that helps support players.?

Maybe they will move Lawrence to LDE. On passing situations we would have a formidable pass rush with:

RE - Lawrence
DT - Hardy
DT - Crawford
LE - Mincey

I might swap Mincey and Hardy sometimes in that situation, but yeah not too bad.

It seems a forgone conclusion that Hardy is going to serve at least a couple game suspension for everything last year before getting here. During that time I would imagine DLaw will be playing RDE... so what happens if say he is averaging a sack a game (say 4 sacks in 4 games) and is in full beast mode prior to Hardy getting here. Who would you move over the the left side in that situation?

Hardy going up against rt is a no brainer

Hardy can play anywhere along the line, inside or outside. Lawrence may be limited by his size and strength to RDE. In the circumstances I don't think anyone should assume that Hardy is the RDE.
It will be interesting to see what Lawrence looks like size-wise come training camp. He's not a small guy by any means, and has the frame to put on more pounds. He isn't a quick twitch guy, so ultimately it doesn't matter too much if puts on a little more weight. At which point he'd likely be bigger (and likely just as fast) as Spencer, who no one really questions as being able to play the LDE position.

Look at him relative to Crawford:

It's Mara and Goodell and the Cowboys are involved. On what planet would he not get suspended with those two guys in charge.

The thing is because of Judge Doty anything the NFL does could end up in a legal battle that will make them look even more foolish, lets not forget NFLPA rep election also if one of those over agressive former players gets elected Goodell could be dealing with some dogs that would make Michael Vick envious.

Considering how much teams can play in the nickel...could be real nice to have this on the field at the same time.....

DE: Lawrence
DT: Crawford
DT: Mincey
DE Hardy

From an ESPN article talking about Mincey as an inside rusher: http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/cowboys/post/_/id/4731046/mincey-a-threat-when-he-moves-inside

“He’s got some real quickness inside as a rusher,” Marinelli said. “He’s got quickness, maybe not long speed. And real smart.”

The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Mincey has played end and tackle throughout his eight-year career. Many of Mincey’s 20 sacks, with a high of eight in 2011, have come as an interior rusher.

“I’ve always been a good inside rusher,” Mincey said. “That’s what’s kept me around the league for a while.

Also, after adding some weight, Lawrence could see some time at LDE. He's not much smaller than Spencer now. If Hardy is suspended, I hope Lawrence does tear it up at RDE. It would help the defense tremendously in Hardy's absence, and could bode well for a future that might not include Hardy given he's onboard for essentially 1-year right now.

Have Hardy line up at DT next to Lawrence and send a LB blitz and overwhelm that side.

Actually, yeah, that pick indicates that Lawrence may not be limited by his size after all. Great point.

Applaud him. Rotate him in.

Marcus Smith was re-elected for the NFLPa so,he will fight for the players no doubt.
