Mike Fisher currently reporting..

Mclain faking a big smile that he wants to be here, when he really doesn't..

I honestly think he does. He could have signed with the Superbowl champs, he chose to be here.

I think in his mind, the Cowboys are the only team that really seemed to care about his personal success (with Garrett and all). While he has his moments, I think that he recognizes the Cowboys are the best organization for himself and his professional career.

Glad to see him return with minor reservations but he's back because he got a better deal and he'd on a contender. Right now I suspect NE is the better club so that shoots some of that down but in the end we may very well be the better one.

I think there are a few reasons why he didn't accept a New England contract for one. He would be insurance. Hightower is injured and they are waiting on having him back. The second issues is that he already feels comfortable on this team and would be walking into a new situation in New England. I take McClain as a guy who needs consistency.

So much for "quitting on the team" :)

I believe he's wanted to stay with us and only us. Just used the Patriots for leverage to get a better contract.

So damn pumped for this season already. Hope he maintains this passion throughout the year.

That's my thought. He's pumped to be in Dallas and we're happy to have him. This defense is gonna be totally different w hardy mcclain and FINALLY a healthy lee and Lawrence

Couldn't agree more. As in most of life's situations it is multifactorial. How are you Coach? Had an opportunity to have a mentor for a scouting course. I was flabbergasted to learn it was Coach Phillips. Man was I excited. I ended up cancelling it due to time restraints but mostly because he left when he took the Denver job.

That might be a reach but I would agree it will be vastly improved. If we could field a top 10 defense and Romo stays healthy we'll play deep into January.

I would be happy just with a defense in the top 10 but top 5 in creating sacks and TO. You add that to the top 5 offense for sure......and we can do the Michael Buffer, "LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE".

btw, did you know the guy is 70 years old?

Well, Sean does have to get promoted because he's a private right now. And, I like that you don't walk round with baggy drawers. I would make Scandrick the Captain.

Yes, at least Scandrick has been in the trenching doing his bests.

I'd argue a healthy Sean Lee is on the same plateau...just a different one for different reasons.

you don't see mush of that, the word "healthy" and the name Sean Lee. too bad. he looked so promising his first year.

Man that would be awesome guy knows the 3-4 like the back of his hand. There is a reason why he is always a hot commodity as a defensive coordinator.

I was so excited then so disappointed. I'm happy he got the job. He and his father are incredible. Bum actually invented the numbering system for lines not Bear Bryant as is generally mentioned.

Perhaps I am being naive, but I think there's still a chance Sean Lee can last a season and still play at that level.

I'm hoping that the shift over to WILL will help preserve him and allow him to show case his skills. No doubt that he is special when he is on the field. The problem has been that he hasn't been. Still, I am rooting for the guy.
