Person who has driven through L.A. and Bay Area, and NYC traffic, laughs at DFW and Houston, then reflects and says they all have traffic issues. Then looks at Austin and says Austin has real traffic issues. Don't be an ***. Austin has grown too fast for its infrastructure. Traffic is a real problem here. It doesn't have to become L.A. first for that to be the reality.

Since Perry gave massive tax breaks to firms particularly tech firms, the migration to Austin has been astounding this past decade.

I would rather deal with I10 in Houston at 5:30 than I35 in Austin. Cannot speak for Dallas.

Haha yeah, I live in Austin. I know the migration issues, over 200+ people a day. Hardly any real "Texans" here anymore. Everyone I meet is from the NE, or California. It's kind of crazy. It's also the reason real estate has exploded in the last few years. Supply and demand. They literally can't build housing fast enough.

Previously, I lived in Houston. And before that I was very close to the DFW Metroplex.

Austin's traffic is bad, and the infrastructure isn't great, but rush hour here isn't as bad as my previous two stops. In fact, it was one of the main reasons I ended up moving from Houston. I also avoid I35 completely if I can.

Outside of rush hour it probably has the best infrastructure out of all 3. I can literally get anywhere in "Austin" in about 15-20 minutes.

That being said, I'm all for the Cowboys coming here.

If you were Jerry and you had experienced all the camps throughout the years and here comes the end of July in Texas and they are loading up the trucks.

Trust me--

You're going to Oxnard.

Not only are you going but you are going to make it a point to always go there, at least for a couple of weeks for every camp. The exposure, the weather, the annual party at Sky Bar in Hollywood, it's just too good to pass up.

Oh, by the way, that train ride to San Diego for the pre-season game will soon become the train ride to LA for the pre season game in the nation's second biggest market that will sell 90,000 tickets every year.

We won our last Super Bowls while they held camp here, so why not give it a try again. I can imagine how big the crowds would be for training camp!! Also, Austin is a different city compared to what it used to be in the 1990's, unfortunately it has become the hipster capital of Texas!! LOL

Exactly and I'm one of them. Matter of fact as a lender in the area most of my retail clients in Oxnard do well around training camp time because of the Boys presence. Training camp = great cash flow cushion for small retail businesses in Oxnard, therefore messing with the training camp location messes up my portfolio and bonuses!

Our days in Austin were great but that's just history. The Cowboys' fortunes aren't dependent upon practicing in Austin any more than they're dependent upon practicing any any city that chooses to accomodate them. What's important is that they operate in a manner that allows them to be successful. They'll be just fine where they are.
