Ok, then after 10 years and $60 million annually, with all the offensive talent that amounts to 61% of the team's salary cap, Dak should make the NFC Championship game. If not, he's a failure.

There is no more excuses. You can't be talent rich and go 7-10 again.

Which one of those teams has worse defense than Dallas last season?

I'd say we're 2nd for sure.

Prescott > Goff
Gibbs > Williams
Lamb > St. Brown
Pickens > Williams
La Porta > Feguson

Could even make the argument for 1st, but I won't.

Pats O will be better once Henderson is on the field more.

I am not high on him for the fact that Dallas does not use a 2 RB system. Same thing they do with the TE position.

You could have 3 All Pro TE's on the roster and two would sit and only be used to block.

I was thinking more along the lines of "in case of injury". Always nice to have a good backup.

How well has Dak played in the SB? I'll wait.

And Darnold played great in the NFCCG. They Don't Make the SB without him. Dak"s never come close to that.

Ah, yes. Driving seat is a thing of your perspective. For me it is the QB who drives the team on the field. But of course HC, OC and even the GM has influence.

But you are wrong about his OCs. There were a lot more. then only Garrett and MM. And Garrett never was the OC/playcaller during Daks time here.
All of them were cut with reasoning that their gameplan, gamecalls or playbock were to easy and predictable.

before Dak: Callahan (playcalling under Garrett as HC). Just to show that Garrett wasnt a playcaller/OC for a long time here. Even under Romo.

since Dak:
1. Linehan (playcalling under Garrett as HC), was fine and well respect around the league during his Romo time. But suddenly somehow sucked and not able to call complex plays with Dak.
2. Moore (playcalling under Garrett as HC) -> same as with Linehan
3. Mike McCarthy (playcalling by himself) -> SB winning coach with Rodgers, somehow forget how to call plays when paired with Dak and he seemed to also lost his complex playbook he wrote and used during his GB times. How else do you explain that he wasnt able to call complex plays when he was in Dallas ?
4. Brian Schottenheimer (under MM as HC) -> well McCarthy had to go, why ? Offense wasnt better with Brians calls.

It was not like those OCs werent able to AND havent had way more complex playbooks. The problem is the guy who had to execute the plays. And it was always the same when a new OC came here: First he tried to implement a more complex playbook. Then after weeks of trying he saw with this guy i have to trim it down. Everybody then started to shout about its simplicity. But that had a reason: The guy at QB wasnt able to execute those complex plays.

Again: We got rid of way too many OCs and it was always the same process during every ones stint with us. That points more to an underlying problem and not one associated with those OCs. And the problem is the QB we are sporting. He is flat out bad. You are so limited with him and what you can let him do.

OK I agree linehan was good in 2014 with romo, and in 2016 if he was still there, they had to dumb it down for dak as he was a rookie. And they could lean on the run game, as elliot was good that first year.
But I dont know for a fact they have had to dumb it down for dak for 10 years lol.

OC's have systems and plays they like and often times force it on the players.
MM I dont know if he dumbed it down for dak, or himself. but at times it was pretty stupid.
Look at the last play of both the SF games , and they were dumb and had nothing to do with dak.
Well I guess the one time where clock ran out, dak ran too far, which was dumb or lack of awareness.

I think this year will prove if dak is capable qb or not.
