Biggest concern now?

i know some still have no faith in Randal, Williams, and McFadden, and some still think a 7th round RB is critical and would start. :roll eyes:

My biggest concern this minute is who will return kicks and punts. This is no small matter regarding making good decisions, handling the ball cleanly, and giving us an occasional leap in field position. I don't feel good about Beasley on punt return and I see no one at kick return. Will we try to address this in round 7 or look for a free agent or camp cut?

good point ,we dont have a good returner on our roster.I fear the good returners have been taken already.we might have to look at some UDFAs.

Punt return is a bigger concern than KR to me. The kickoff rules result in touch-backs on most KRs anyway. Catching a punt is more difficult an not all kick returners can return punts. They have a guy Reggie Dunn that was a great KR in college and has 4.22 speed but I don't think he returned punts. If Lance Dunbar makes the team he can return Kicks.

RB.. Way too many riverboat gambling going on. We might be throwing the ball more which in turn leaves our fragile franchise quarterback open to more hits.

Awesome plan! Go get a starter quality back!

just find me a guy that has a little experience at fielding punts and is sure-handed. I don't need him to break a bunch of long returns. Just have good hands and know when to field them and when to get out of the way of it.

My biggest concern is the Locker Room mentality.....Cowboys brought in some big problems with high risk high reward margins. Not sure how that will change Garretts RKG mentality or disrupt the chemistry on this team...Love the picks but Hardy, Gregory and McClain and a few others could spoil the pot. Think they have gotten the talent but at what cost.

Biggest concern is what was the biggest strength last season

Running back.

Good point. The one thing I feel good about is that Hardy and Gregory are supposed to love football and be hard workers with great motors. With them, the locker room will be okay because players respect other players who grind and work hard and will forgive the past. McClain? I don't think anyone has ever accused him of going too hard at practice...lol

"Biggest strength. Running back"

You said it. Not me.

Your belief is that the oline is majority responsible for the franchise record year but DeMarco has always been a starter quality back that could pickup blitzing. What we have right now is a bust and a couple practice squad guys.

It's an awful big risk give the condition of your franchise quarterback.

Sad thing is with our current backs I would give a 7th round pick a 60% chance to start.

We know Ro is a locker room guy
We know Hardy is a locker room guy
I dont know about Gregory however the value is so great at 60
we just could not pass on the talent plus we have people in place
with skills to monitor young head cases.

You're worrying too much . . .

Not worried at all...Love the picks...No doubt the talent is there,,,it will bread some serious competition.....but can they all get along and keep the off field issues (Randel stupid comments or the Hardy tweets/issues) out of the locker room....IMO that is the biggest problem and that is a good thing.
