Good Substitutions by Blatt Tonight. Mozgov can probably sneak on to the floor a bit more as the only big.
Igudola overall game can not be questioned. The Man has been one of the three best players on the court this series (although his ft's were atrocious tonight!)
Cleveland should have put Lebron in more pick and rolls offensively, cause more switches onto Thompson... we will see more next game..
Curry in a switch with any big, (TT, Mozgov) is laughable... he's been roasting them.
The value of Kevin Love is seen in this series. His ability to rebound and throw pinpoint passes up the court is rare.... The other bigs for Cavs have to gather, & hold.
Great Game..... This has been a very good finals...
I'm rooting for a Cavs win in gm6... I want a 7 game series!!!!!

Was that MC Hammer behind the GS bench?!!?

The discussion around Mozgov is interesting. He needs to be on the floor for the offense but he's a liability on the defensive side of the ball. He can't get out to check the three point shooters. This is why so many people like Towns over Okafor. To be a back to the basket, traditional post Center, you have to be able to have the defensive skills to defend the three and that's not easy to find. Those guys are few and far between. Interesting to see it actually play out in this series.

Heck... I think they would be okay if Mozgov was the only big at times...

but yeah... flexibility on defense... JTIII (not like he's some great coach or something) preaches "position-less basketball". You want all 5 of your players to be skilled enough to pass, shoot, & dribble.... and flexible enough on defense to switch onto any player..... Guys Like Chandler, Noah, A. Davis, N. Noel (yes a sixer), D. Jordan, B. Wright, A. Drummond, S. Ibaka, G. Deng... provide that flexibility on defense to switch on the pick and close out on the perimeter.... And Towns, and WCS will be added to this list...

That being said, I truly believe if the Cavs were at full strength, they could play big, because they could put the pressure back on GS. Being able to score in multiple ways, being more efficient with Love and Irving. GS would be forced to match them if they were healthy, not the other way around.

Edit: Flip it to offense. The fact that Towns can go out to the perimeter, and be a triple threat from there puts the same pressure on a guy like mozgov, but with center size!

And lets give some credit to Mozgov.... He is great at using "the law of verticality" to his advantage when someone drives to the basket...

It will be interesting to see what changes if any the Cavs make.

It is a shame they don't believe Marion would help them at all.
He's the kind of good defending and good rebuilding player who might fit well while Thompson gets a rest.

A Della, Shump, LeBron, Marion, Mozgov line up seems promising on both ends. --LeBron and Mozgov in pick and roll of course.
Play a zone defense with Mozgov as rim protector and 4 perimeter guys on defense.

I agree. I know he's not the player he used to be, but he can't even get on the floor? Especially when I see Miller getting blown by on the perimeter by the "Brazilian Blur" like he's 25 again.

yup and if you are CLE 4 minutes per half of great defense might be the difference between winning and losing.
i dont know Marion's health level but he's had all friggin year to rest.

If Cavs were full strength they would beat up on the Warriors

I will enjoy seeing "I'm the greatest" lose again.

Well he is the best player. Carrying this team as far as he did deserves props...
I know SA fans don't like him... but the guy Is a brilliant player...... He was trying to show confidence and inspire his team.

man, beat a team when they are down... no Kyrie, no Love... you guys are tough.

Not enough punch,
Not enough space,
Not valuing the ball...
doesn't look good...
one more quarter to go.

Do the Cavs have enough gas to outscore GS to win? Unless GS goes cold they likely won't get caught being up 12 after 3.

He may be the best. My point is that a man doesn't go bragging about it. And saying you are is bragging about it.

LeMe may be the best current NBA player but a man doesn't go saying that about himself. For that reason, I'm glad he lost again. That's why a lot of people don't like him. He's all about himself.

I don't know if I agree that he was bragging.. I think in a tough situation... mind over matter...
but I understand your point.

Proud of that guy... always knew he was a swiss army knife, and Philadelphia couldn't use him properly.
