Is there anyway we can vote Deandre Jordan out of the fanbase?

Mavs fans are the more important Cowboys fans.

If Jordan bolts, I'll betcha Carlisle and Matthews do, too, as will Parsons next year. Dirk might hang 'em up or ask for a trade as well.

Catastrophic day for the Mavericks.

And for a guy on Shark Tank, Cuban can't close a free agent to save his life. He's got a big goose egg during his career on that front, after telling everybody how much more he understood the CBA than everybody else. He inherited Dirk, only got Tyson because he failed his fitness exam in OKC, and lucked into a championship when nobody thought they'd even be a factor. (Although that was awesome.)

Cry moar.

Spurs are better than your team either way.

As a Mavs fan, let me just pre-empt this message by stating this simple fact, to-wit:

I hate you.

Seriously, every time I see the Spurs huddle around Popovich it looks like a crew getting ready to ball at the Special Olympics.

Cuban's legacy will be the years of Dirk's career he wasted by running off Nash, not re-signing Tyson, and letting Donnie draft half of Indonesia.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but even if they tank, doesn't that pick belong to Boston?

That doesn't make sense but strong emotions lead to irrational thoughts. I know what leads to it:

It’s well known that the Spurs have NBA-title bragging rights over I-35 rival Dallas, having won five championships to the Mavericks’ one.

The banner dominance hardly ends there, though. Since joining the NBA before the 1976-77 seasons, San Antonio has 20 division titles, including four straight Southwest Division titles.

Since joining the NBA before the 1980-81 season, Dallas has three division titles: 1987, 2007 and 2010. Playing in the same division as San Antonio certainly doesn’t help.

I've never heard of a player opting out of his free agency verbal commitment. Mavs fans must be livid if this indeed happens.

I actually kinda like the Mavs. I've met Nowitzki before and he is a very cool dude. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Carlisle. OTOH, the fans remind me of an envious little brother.

I'm a Spurs fan and I don't even like your gloating. You're giving Spurs fans a bad rep.

Noted. You have now distinguished yourself from me and can sit tall up on your high horse.

Lighten up Francis. It's all friendly banter at this point.

Unless all the rumors are made up media BS, he's gone and won't be playing for Dallas. I can't believe Cuban & the Mavs aren't smart enough to shut the **** up until the deal is 100% done (I hear there is a week waiting period for some reason).

Whether it be sports or business, you NEVER celebrate and/or discuss a deal until its 100% complete and closed (regardless of whether a verbal commitment has ever been broken before). I'll assume the reasons for this are obvious to all.

This now feels like when a girl I liked was clearly blowing me off by not returning my calls but even though I knew better, I held on to the hope she just hadn't heard my message or found the time to call me back.

When it gets ugly like this, they never call back. Time to move on.

You're wrong. The pick is #1-7 protected. If the Mavs are anywhere from the 1st to the 7th worst team, they keep the pick.

NBA rules prohibit any agreement including an oral agreement prior to the 9th. Jordan changed his mind.

Boozer did it about a decade ago before and there are other examples out there of it happening.
