Mickey mentioned the base and cap hit, thought he said $7 million but I am not sure, I can not remember to be honest, anyone have the details for the 2015 season?

$7M sounds right. $4M in the form of his SB proration and $3M from his base salaries.

If they're fully guaranteeing his 2015 salary of $3 million, they could spread that over the 5 years, resulting in a $4.6 million cap hit in 2015. Has it actually been reported that the 2015 base is fully guaranteed?

Spotrac is reporting a 20m signing bonus and a 3m base salary for 2015. That would be a 7m cap hit, down from 12.8m

Then 22m more is guaranteed come March 2016, but the rest of the base salaries haven't been reported

But that would leave 47m for the final 4 years so maybe- 8m, 10m, 13m, 16m or 10m, 11m, 12m, 14m

If it's anything like they've done in the past, the $22M in guarantee is going to probably going to be 2016 and 2017 base salaries. Maybe a $15M base in 2016 that they'll restructure

4 years?

He plays full 5 years... Then does another deal?

Kristie, fun day, huh...

and we don't have to listen to a dozen media types complaining about absurdity of the Cowboys. Only some high arched fans doing that here.

Me, I'm very glad it is done and the team can start some very serious work through Training Camp.

I like the 15m restructure with 1-2 voidable years added, but it might just be 10m in 2016 and 12m in 2017(That would leave 12m for 2018 and 13m for 2019)

I would hope they don't restructure. Doesn't make a lot of sense to be concerned about his off the field stuff and then increase the cap hit if those concerns actually came to fruition.

The 20m signing bonus coupled with the large guarantees mean DAL is severely exposed early on.

Unless the rumors about disappearing guarantees for off-field violations are true.

The money is already guaranteed, spreading it over 7 years is better than 5, but that is our eternal debate.
