News: PFT: Dez Bryant gets five years, $70 million from Cowboys

All this 50/50 chance stuff was complete horse manure. Gotta love the NFL.

Huge loss for ProFootballTalk. They were deadset on Dez not getting the deal.

Hey Maxwell... Remember this?

I read that he gets 23 mil for 2015, that is 1.4 mil per game!
I wonder how they had cap room for that , or maybe it isnt on 2015.
This should make romonator happy lol

Turns out both Jerry and Stephen were in New York negotiating with Roc Nation until 3 am. No wonder they weren't at the signing. I'm glad they worked it out.

I dont get that, they caved, if they went there, and what do they have to do with this contract?
Was condon there?

14 mil per year isn't bad . Glad they got it done.

Sure looked like the UAW negotiating with one auto company with the expectation that the other two would fall in line.

If the rumors were true and Dez wanted Megatron money, I fail to see how the Cowboys lost this.

If this is true, it makes a few posters around here look kind of silly.

Absolutely both.

If I were a professional athlete, I would absolutely use an agency like Roc Nation Sports to help manage my brand and my finances. Some of you guys need to watch Ballers on HBO -- very similar to what I imagine Roc Nation does for professional athletes. Of course the regular big agents like Tom Condon will handle the contract negotiations with the teams.

Some of you have some pretty dubious reasons for disliking Roc Nation so much. It's hilarious.

Looking at the deal....I think it's real close to perfect for both sides. The beauty of getting Dez signed is that he's satisfied and will light up training camp, the locker room, the sideline and the opposing defense. He's not going to let anyone off the hook and it's a value he holds that is not measured in $$'s which separates him from many of his peers.
I still recall him getting in the face of the Phili DBacks in pregame warm ups. He owned those suckers!!
Love it!!

He gets a $20 million bonus, cap hit and base was in single digits for 2015, I think Mickey stated, not sure if it was 7 million or so.
