Rumor: Cowboys Interested in Trading for Broncos' RB Montee Ball*MERGED* Looks to be false

After such promise coming out of college, I hear he is 4th on Broncos depth chart now. I don't know what his issues are, but maybe we can whip him into shape. Hopefully we only give up a conditional pick maybe 6th or 7th.

I know they question his ball handling skills and pass blocking tech up here.

I always love this RB talk. Every time we are linked to a RB like a Jackson or Ball, people act as if the Cowboys are looking to acquire that guy to be the #1 RB.

LOL. They want depth. That's it.

'Montee Ball rushed 16 times for 27 yards (1.7 YPC) in the Broncos' final preseason game... against second- and third-string defenders...'

Not sure how I feel about trading a player or a draft pick for Ball. Not to keen on the idea, but not really against it either.
Would need to wait and see, but right now, prefer to pass if I had to choose.
But if they did, don't think I would be terribly upset either.

Problem is, though... they still don't have, and need, a #1.

Ive never been a big Ball fan, but he has talent. Id personally give up a conditional 2017 pick. A 7th if he doesnt pan out. A 5th if he ever rushes for more then 600 yards here

Jerry, You have been patient so far. Let's wait until the cuts are made and let the dust settle a bit. Just don't give up any draft picks at least until you see this guy make their team.

In his defense, he also was playing with 2nd and 3rd stringers.

The Fort Worth-Star Telegram reports the Cowboys could have interest in Montee Ball if he's released.

The Cowboys should be smart enough to know Ball is very likely to be waived by the Broncos, whereafter they could acquire him without giving up a draft pick. The Cowboys are not interested in parting with compensation to acquire Ball. Ball remains likely to end up on another team's roster by Monday.

I hear a lot about Ball. I'm not really familiar with him but is he as good as people are making out to be?

Hopefully! Doesn't say too much about ball if he couldn't earn a spot in denver
