I figure if Zach Stacy got traded for a 7th, Ball doesn't have much trade value

His issue is that he's terrible in pass protection, but a good runner. Hmmmm.

Hopefully! Doesn't say too much about ball if he couldn't earn a spot in denver

CJ Anderson is much better than anything we got at running back. So I would argue their RB situation is much better than ours with Anderson and Hillman backing him up.

Ball is known as a fumbler and a poor pass protector, but he's a good runner otherwise.

Still interested?

We won't be getting any other RB in here. Dallas likes what they got in an often injury laden MacFadden and two other backs who can't pass protect but was given their position on a silver platter.

Its too bad that Dallas won't go after another back. It would make the road to the Superbowl that much easier knowing that other teams will fear our run attack.

Show me one better than Randle, and I'm interested.

The Fort Worth-Star Telegram reports the Cowboys could have interest in Montee Ball if he's released.

The Cowboys should be smart enough to know Ball is very likely to be waived by the Broncos, whereafter they could acquire him without giving up a draft pick. The Cowboys are not interested in parting with compensation to acquire Ball. Ball remains likely to end up on another team's roster by Monday.

Silver what have I been saying in multiple posts :) I think Ball would be good behind the big Dallas line. He is a power back who ran behind a big line in college that was made for the run. Dallas OL would be a great fit for Ball !!!! Come on down!!!!

That makes a lot of sense. We need someone who can run hard and play many downs without getting hurt.

Randle is unproven and people here seem to think he is a HOF back. He is nothing more than a change of pace back that piggy backed off the reputation of Murray.

There WERE several that are better and battle tested than Randle. However, that window of opportunity has come and gone and Dallas is stubbornly comfortable with what they have. For a team that has Superbowl aspirations its unfortunate that were going into this season with questionmarks at the runningback position.

This would be a good person to replace Dunbar.
