Troy started his weekly guest appearance on The Ticket today at 7:55 AM CST. Every Thursday.

I didn't get to take notes or pay 100% attention, as I was trying to get ready to run to an appointment.
He seemed a bit critical on the decision not to pay Murray big money. As he said, there were reports that Dallas would have paid Peterson more money than Murray, so why not pay Murray more than they originally offered. I think he was off base on this. Guess he believed the rumors or reports. I

I think he has been smoking something on this, as he said:
If Sam Bradford stays healthy, and it's a big if, that he could be a MVP type player.
Said he talked to Chip Kelley, and he really likes Murray, and they both think he will have a good year. But Aikman questioned the OL a bit for the Eagles, or it sounded as if he did.

There is probably a podcast on it, or soon will be. Maybe on The Ticket's app.

Troy played QB with Emmitt Smith in the backfield. So he is partial to having a bell cow RB taking the ball 25-30 times a game. It's understandable why he thinks that way.

The game is different today. RRBC is a much more common approach nowadays. I think we will be OK. I guess we will see starting Sunday.

Troy remembers what is was like when E. Smith was out those two games.

Everybody is jumping on the Sam Bradford train. I caught some of his preseason games..... He can throw the football, thats for sure. And they seemed to be clicking.... But thats just preseason;

But most everybody seems to be giving the Cowboys props too....as a team;

Bradford is over rated simply because he has never done if for a complete season. Until he proves it he is over rated.

Troy probably does favor a top RB because of his personal experience. But the fact is that Murray could barely carry Emmitts jock and Troy does not quite realize this. Yes you would pay Peterson more than Murray- hello!!!!

Troy did comment something to this, in a related way I guess. About Randle's comments about Murray.
Said that When Murray sets a Cowboys record for most rushing yards for a single season, and followed RB's like Tony Dorsett and Emmitt Smith, the all time leading rusher, they should keep their mouth shut until you yourself go out and do something...LOl...which I agree...

IMO The position Troy is in with Fox as a broadcaster prohibits him from saying what he truly, truly thinks. Although I don't like it, I think he will always go overboard to be unbiased. It shows in his commentary especially when he works DC games. I respect him as a person and a commentator. He does his homework and just needs a new play by play partner to really be effective. Perhaps a Pat Summerall type instead of a drama queen like Buck?
I don't think we'll ever see the Trump in Troy but the way it goes.

Not near as much love for the Cowboys as the Fecals. Everything out there is about how Sam Bradford is the key to Philly winning the division and Dallas has a chance IF Bradford cant stay healthy.

I don't disagree with Troy regarding Bradford. IF he can stay healthy he can thrive in Chip Kelly's system. In Chip's system you just need an accurate QB with quick release (sometime you don't even need an all that accurate QB). You certainly don't need a blue chip QB to read the defense in his system. Look at what he had as QB throughout his Oregon career and NFL (Foles, Sanchez...). IF healthy Bradford will put up MVP like numbers but that doesn't mean he is an MVP type QB.

Lots of love for Philly...... The games I saw, Bradford has a strong, accurate arm..... Were going to have to get to him.....

And I think we do.:) DLaw, Crawford, Gregory, Hardy, coleman?.... Were going to have to rattle him;

I think it is fair to say All Day is better than DM..therefore paying him more only makes sense..

These ex-Cowboys and their infactuation with Chip & Demarco are really pissing me off. They act like we don't have a clue and Philly invented the winning formula. Well...that's Why they play the games. I hope we stomp a hole in their butts.:starspin:

Troy's continued obsession with Chip Kelly is bothersome.

Emmitt was better than Murray, but Romo is frankly better than Aikman. I think he equates the two situations wrongly.

Demarco did it for one year too. How soon they forget.

I agree. I don't know why the original poster suggested Troy must be smoking something. Besides, Troy said IF and that's the operative word. Bradford can't stay healthy. But if he does, he can be dangerous in an offense predicated on the quick release of its quarterback.

I just have doubts about him staying healthy. Once quarterbacks start to have multiple injuries, they seem to compound.

Let's see when a team game plan's against him and brings the real heat, how accurate he is. He won't last the season if he runs the read option.

More hype love for the eagles.

Good for them keep the preseason hype while we produce and exceed our expectations

Dude, just stop with the "game is different today" noise. You make it sound like Aikman played with a leather helmet on black and white television. Pretty sure he still has a decent handle on what works today. What the game "different" last year, when we rode a bell cow running back to the division title and should have played in the NFC championship?
